we bought this fridge specifically for the family hub function. it worked well until the tizen 6.0 update where all useful functionality was removed. the meal planner no longer lets you add custom meal names so if it's not on the "approved" menu list, you can't add it to the plan. the speakers on it are worse than a cell phone. save your money and get a "dumb" fridge.

Loud rattle but it's a good frig

our frig started making a loud rattle 2 weeks after we bought it. ice builds up on the fan in the freezer and the blades hit the ice when it's running. the defrost function does not melt this ice. it remains permanently on your fan unless you call a tech to come remove it. we did this within the first month of owning this frig only to be told by the tech this is a known problem and the ice will simply return every time the ice is removed. the frig is now the most annoying appliance i have ever owned. it's great that the frig has a touch screen and it does keep things cold but i wish we had bought another brand. now we are stuck with a loud frig.

bought this slick fridge from costco and was happy with it till the ice maker stopped after 2 years. ice builds up and apparently the automatic defrost is not working. i had experianced ice builds up in older models and cannot figure out how such a popular brand cannot solve such a simple thing. on youtube there are many videos on how to use a hair dryer to get rid of ice and then go through the complex procedure to get to engineer mode and do a reset and ...

i did not expect to have such problems in under 2 years for the ice maker to keep freezing over and no longer producing ice after paying near $4k for this refrigerator. i have so many samsung products including tvs, washer & dryer set and this phone i'm using to write this review. only to learn the most expensive product of them i own was not worth the cost. i don't even know how to get this resolved other than to keep manually defrosting this thing. its frustrating and i'm not even trying to spend another dime on getting it repaired. please help or give me my money back.

ive owned my fride for exactly 15months and the power went out in my area the other day and my fridge never came back on. everything in the fridge and freezer has wasted. the error code reads that the hub wont work but the fridge will maintain its level of coldness however its the opposite. i can play music all i want but all my food went to waste. every appliance in my home is samsung now i regret that decision. the warranty was only for a year smh.

well, if was pretty cool to begin with. until all the door shelves broke off...and then on thanksgiving my ice maker started throwing out pieces if metal in everyones drinks. i found a washer in my drink, thought my husband was playing a joke on me. not to long after i found a bigger piece of metal in ny next cup and realized our ice maker was broken. samsung has always had issues with their ice makers, we were told it was fixed in thus model. clearly it is not fixed.

Very satisfied with this purchase. It has the a very premium, modern look to it and makes our kitchen look so much nicer because of it. I love the French door style and the tablet that has all the smart features is so convenient. I can check what's inside the fridge without having to open the doors which is a great energy saver. I can use it as a tablet and look up recipes on the internet and even on youtube! The kids love to play music from it while I cook. I can also access the fridge from my smartphone with the smartthings app which is helpful when i'm out grocery shopping. I only have 1 complaint and that's the water dispenser. I just wish the push handle extended a bit lower so I can push it with a normal sized mug while resting it on the surface. Not a big deal. Highly recommend this fridge if you are looking for a modern upgrade.

We've had this fridge for a couple of months now and are very happy with the features. It syncs easily with your online calendar and is very customizable. I love that I can literally look in the fridge from the grocery store when I'm not sure if we need milk or not. :)

This is a very cool fridge with lots of fun features but apparently in all Samsung's, they little plastic piece that folds open when you open the door and goes back when it closes never works and I have to manual reach in to fix it every time! Wish they could fix that somehow!

This fridge came with the house we bought and I didn't know I needed one until we had one. So many cool features like a camera to see what's inside, Pandora which we love to have on while we cook, and a lot of neat storage features within the fridge (like a compartment for wine and retractable shelf to put to any tall items).

the first year owning the fridge, the screen went black and never came back on. thank goodness it was still under warrenty, or we would of had to pay out of pocket for it. then, our freezer decides to quit, and we lost all the food in it. a few weeks later, the fridge stops cooling as well. after resetting it several times, it finally started cooling again. finally, the ice maker. we have had an insane amount of trouble with the ice maker. it freezes over about 2 times a month, sometimes more. i am constantly having to thaw the ice out for it to work again, and for about a month long period, it stopped making cubed ice and would only make crushed. i found it very disappointing for it to have let us down that much in the first 1-2 years.

We bought this fridge after Hurricane Harvey, as an upgrade gift to ourselves after the rebuild. It was worth the price. The features in this fridge are great. The ability to display recipes on a large screen to follow, listen to music, answer the Ring doorbell, and create shoping lists were very nice. The only issues we had were the ice maker would occasionally get frozen up and we'd have to break it free, and if the fridge lost connection to the wifi you had to set the apps back up. Other than that, it was excellent.

We've enjoyed our Samsung Refrigerator for a year and a half now. It does fridge things well, such as keep food frozen, keeps food cold, lots of shelves and customizable space. There's always ice and filtered water. Easy to change filters. The large drawer in the fridge does sometimes come off the track but it's an easy fix. The water dispenser has dripped water but it's not often. What sets it apart is Family Hub. You think it's just a gimmick to sell fridges but no it's awesome. You can set as many timers as you want. You can control every part of the fridge. Connect with the Family Hub app and you can see your list and inside the fridge away from home. The fridge display changes with the weather and season (I love this). You can display photos, surf the web, cast from your smart devices to the fridge. Listen to music, connect to Alexa. Find recipes and listen to the news. It takes your kitchen to the next level.

I've owned in a few months and had a screen error that made the draws temp control not work. The refrigerator is not very roomy and the shelves can't really be moved to much for room without taking away a shelves. Also I keep hearing this loud noise from the back. Not sure if it's compressor or motor. But my old one wasn't this loud.

I am a huge samsung fan. Very loyal to the brand. This is the second Samsung refrigerator I have owned. It will be the last. ice called samsung no less that 10 times, they alwats act like tgis is a new issue. i found a facebook group with 30,000 members that have this issue or the ice maker freezing shut(probably another issue ssnsung has just never heard of). i replaced heating element, defrosted, replaced water filter, still no fix. after reading others reviews they have spent money on 5-10 service calls with no luck fixing. its causing our floors to get wet and takes time to clean out every week! gonna get rid if it and post as many honest review as possible so no one else uses samsung! if they would have taken care of it or been honest instead of pretending there arent thousands of these with issue i would have given them a chance.

BEWARE Touch Screen does not last long

buyer be prepared to spend almost 1000$ for a touch screen which will go bad veru quickly. there is only one switch to reset but that's not working for me. fridge is barely 14 month old. service technician quoted price 650$ + 250$ labor costing 900$ for a new fridge. since touchscreen doesn't work and there aren't any physical buttons like old fridges i'm only able to use the screen to see uploaded photos. can't even do simple tasks such as reset water filter alert after replacement. don't know how long other things are destined to last. so buy only if you have deep pockets.
