i purchased this product and have not taken possession of it yet. after reading some of the reviews of the ice maker freezing out, that's exactly why we have to buy a new fridge. our old samsung fridge icemaker (completely different model) froze up completely. nothing worked and the 3k fridge is useless to make ice (which we do all the time). i'm wondering if, with samsun knowing this, i should cancel my order until it's fixed. i don't want to wait until the warranty expires and i am up a creek. any buyer advice?

We bought this refrigerator a few months ago. It does look nice, however, I am concerned with it having enough space for tall/large items. I would prefer to have less drawers, and more usable space. Not a fan of the black stainless as well. The side of the fridge just looks like a black fridge... does not have the stainless side

We love this fridge. We had a samsung in our former house and this one has many more features that we appreciate and use on the daily. The conveniences outweigh any cons!
Only concern is door space for like larger bottles (i.e. wine, soda, etc) because of the ice maker - that takes up real estate in the door panels.

The refrigerator is good lots of room but the ice maker is terrible. It freezes and stops working about once a week to once every two weeks. It seams like the design of the ice maker needs more insulation from the warmer refrigerator that it is located in. If the ice maker worked this would be a great refrigerator, but now instead of having to break out the frozen ice from around the maker every week I have to use part of my freezer to hold ice I get from other places.

I bought this in May and my kids love how hands on it is with memos and pics. I love that we can see inside it and I can play music while cooking. It is hard to store too many tall drinks but otherwise I love it.

I have to admit, I thought the screen was a little gimmicky before using this fridge, but it has been a perfect complement to our integrated house. I highly recommend it!
With a great room layout in our house, the fridge is very visible, so the good looks and silent operation have been great.
The smart screen has apps, including SmartThings and Ring integration. When a visitor rings our Ring doorbell, the fridge immediately shows a live video of our porch and at the press of a button, allows us to talk with the guest. We can also view and control our SmartThings smart home features directly on the fridge.
When at the grocery store, we can view the inside of the fridge from our smart phone to determine what we need to get.
The fridge attempts to identify the items in the fridge and even estimate expiration dates -- but in general, it is incorrect and not useful.
Overall, we are very happy with the fridge.

this is the second model of this frig that i have owned and both of the ice makers started freezing over within 6 months of purchase. i thought originally that it was just the one that i purchased so after buying another then reading all of these reviews, samsung is aware of the ongoing problem and this is clearly a manufacturing issue.

i can't believe that we invested this much money in a refrigerator in hopes of enjoying it in our newly built retirement home and we now have to use old fashion ice trays because the icemaker is crap! needless to say we are very dissapointed and my suggestion is don't invest unless you plan on also investing in ice trays!

first i will say that i have always wanted this refrigerator and when the time came for me to upgrade my kitchen, this was the first appliance i purchased. so far it is doing great, i have not explored all of the features but those that i have is awesome. i have downloaded pandora and i listen to my favorite music while cooking. i am hapoy with my purchase

the fridge is definitely cool, and the tv is a huge hit with the children! but, the interior design is poor and awkward for items of varying sizes, and 11 months after owning this fridge all 3 of the interior door storage bins cracked and fell off! the brackets cracked causing items to fall and spill. samsung online very difficulty to work with.

I have been back and forth with customer service and no remedy has been put in place. I DO NOT recommend SamSung products. I will be returning this back to Lowes.

This fridge is the future. I was excited to review the Samsung french 3 door fridge with the touch screen family hub. When it arrived, the size was impressive. After the installation I couldn't wait to play with it. I've never spent so much time with a fridge before. This fridge is wifi connected, once you set it up with the Samsung things app you can link and upload pictures, your calendar and even look inside the fridge. The "Family hub" let's you see inside without having to open the fridge. You can tag items, set expiration dates, create a shopping list and even look for recipes online. Other apps included with the "Family hub" are iHeartRadio, Spotify and even mirror your TV! You can also set the fridges temperature and run diagnostics. The digital inverter help consume less electricity. And the duo fan helps rotate the cool air to maintain the temperature inside the fridge and freezer. Thanks to the Insiders for letting me review this technological marvel.

The Samsung 3-Door refrigerator is probably by far the best refrigerator i have owned. To be honest, i have never owned a fridge with a giant tablet built-in to the door and on top of that, it has cameras on the inside, so you never have worry about what in your refrigerator when you are out shopping and need to know if your out of milk. Just open your samsung connect app, click on the fridge and bam take a look inside your refrigerator from anywhere on your phone. Just like that, its that easy. This fridge is just awsome. The family hub center on the fridge is just amazing. Its full of different apps, you can access the internet, play pandora, youtube videos, ring video door bell, uber, many more features and boasts a pretty nice speaker. I must admit, i am very impressed by this refrigerator and very sleek looking black stainless steel option. The interior of the fridge is pretty spacious, and has multiple, movable and retractable trays. The fridge employs a twin cooling system, so basically the top portion has its own sperate cooling system from the freezer, which allows you to set a different temperature for each section. After my thorough usage of this fridge, i found only one thing that i believe samsung could improve upon. The ice maker or the "Ice Master" is a very sluggish and sort of a messy system. It feels like it takes forever to fill a cup of ice and when you try to use the crushed ice feature, it just throws ice eveywhere. So, in short, i think Samsung should really improve this feature of this refrigerator. My overall experience with this fridge has been great and im definetly in love with the product, especially the family hub center, which by the way my kids enjoy as well.

So I purchased this fridge about two weeks ago and.... this is just crazy. Firstly, I have full control over all the settings on the fridge right from the hub screen. I can connect my calendar to it as well so no more paper calendars, sports schedules, apps attached to the fridge door! Plus it has an app that it connects to so I can see whats inside even if I am at the grocery store.
At first my husband and I were a little skeptical about the need for it, and of course the price tag as we are a family of 5, but this thing is so worth the investment longterm. Even plays my pandora for me while I clean my kitchen! :)

For the price, this is a great fridge loaded with ACTUALLY USEFUL features and functionality. The interactive display is great and super convenient. The water is cool, not freezing and tastes great while the crushed ice leaves a bit to be desired.

Works great, cool features BUT, need to fix the TV mirroring issue. New software update should hopefully include NETFLIX , HULU, and YOUTUBE TV......at least. Bring the ENTERTAINMENT to the fridge. Some of the pre-installed apps are useless and services are unavailable in most areas. Buy it because there is room to improve the software. The fridge itself works as it should. So, it's worth getting!

Great refridgerator ! I bought the 24.5 Family Hub. I do agree with splitting the bottom drawer so you dont have to open both sides of the fridge, that is aggravating. And to answer the ice maker question, it works great we never run out of ice. I do think it needs a water/ice catcher little removable plate to sit on top of the shelf beneath the ice catcher, knowing that water will cause a stain build up and the ice always spits out a bit more and onto the floor. My main complaint is dont by the Black Stainless steel model, although beautiful, it scratches terribly, it is just a very-very thin kind of paint that scratches off and peels easily... which I am so very upset about. I also bought the matching Samsung double wall oven and the Storm dishwasher.. which are still in their packages because we are afraid to install them for fear of scratching . So do by these great appliances, just not in the BLACK STAINLESS STEEL....
