Ive had my refrigerator for 2 years and the condenser fan went out. In trying to get it repaired no one would work on LG so I had to go directly to LG. In order to get them to repair it I had to pay $400.00 up front and wait 2.5 weeks to get it repaired. In doing the repair the service tech pinched the water line when pushing it back into the cabinet putting a small hole in the water line which we had no idea until our new hardwood floor started to warp and buckle about 4 to 5 days later. In pulling the fridge out we found a puddle under the fridge and water all over the wall and side cabinet. I put in a claim to LG for property damage over a month ago and they have never sent a representative or anyone to view the damage nor are they taking any sort of responsibility for it. I have contacted them many many times but get told its in the hands of their legal dept due to the damage was cause by a service person. I just keep getting the run around from LG and it appears that they are not going to do anything to resolve this damage. I paid LG directly not the service company they dispatched the work to which should make LG liable for the damage. I now have to pay $2015.00 to a flooring company to repair the damage. I would tell anyone looking to buy an LG appliance to think twice before purchasing as there is no one to work on them other than LG at an ridiculous cost and if something goes wrong they do not take responsibility for any property damage that is the result of lack of consideration for their customer or their home. We just had this hardwood floor put in 2 years ago and now a section approx. 8x8 needs to be torn out and replace as a result of their negligence and they will not do anything about it nor will they respond to my emails texts or phone calls. I might also add that if you try and contact someone from their corporate office no one will give you a name or contact # to voice your concern. It is a terrible company to work with and even their service people say they are poorly made appliances

Faulty Ice Maker Three times replaced

Round ice cube maker has had to be replaced three times. Starts thumping very loud then does not rotate to empty into ice tray. Repair staff verified this is a known problem with this model.

Compressor issues

I purchased this unit 3 years ago. Loved it. The ice maker is finicky but not a big deal. Well the compressor went out. I had it repaired buy a local firm and I am looking for reimbursement from LG for the repair and I have called 5 different times and the issue keeps getting escalated. But no resolution.

Good Frige craft ice maker a pain.

Had this for more than a year I like most features. Could do without the craft ice maker though it has only worked for about 6 months max had service out after it stoped. All he did was to Reset it back to not working again 2 weeks later and the reset does not seem to fix it any more. I have turned it off would take it out if I knew how.

Worst refrigerator ever despite costing over 4k. Purchased it at Lowes and added Extended Warranty. Two terrible decisions on my part. Refrigerator has stopped working several times in the recent months. LG will no longer service it as the warranty is expired. Neither will Lowes as its warranty also expired days after the last refrigerator malfunction. Re-setting the breakers has become the standard at our house. I had to purchase another refrigerator to avoid continuing to waste groceries. This is all very disappointing. The refrigerator is beautiful I just wish it would work and because it does not I wish LG would take responsibility over it.

The refrigerator and in door ice maker works perfect. The knock knock door does help. The split door is also perfect. However the craft ice maker is problematic. When we bought it the sales staff said it would only make three to six balls a day. My wife was fine with that as she loved the idea of having craft ice cubes.. However this ice maker has been replace four times.

Overall very good refrigerator with one caveat

Excellant refrigerator with two ice makers - an in-door unit with choices of water cubes or crushed ice and a craft ice maker that generates 3 spherical ice cubes per day dropping them into a bin in the freezer. My one problem has been with the craft ice maker - at one point the mechanism froze and the ice maker had to be replaced. Recently it turned itself off when it detected that the bin was full but after emptying the bin it failed to switch on again. Customer Support told me there had been problems with it and recommended I download the LG app and then download the new version of the ice maker software. The new software did the trick and the craft ice maker is again working. Since the refrigerator is Internet-connected via my in-home WiFi I would have expected the refrigerator to automatically download any available software updates since there is no way the customer would know an update is available.

We just got it but I really like it so far. The craft ice hasnt made a lot yet. Im excited to try it out. The stainless steel finish is pretty resistant to fingerprints which is a nice feature. The interior is dark grey-something I had not seen before. Its also a cool feature. Its a little pricey but l think worth it.

Ice maker stopped working

Pretty but needs constant repairs

We bought the refrigerator in November of 2020. Since that time weve had to have the craft ice cube maker repaired and/or replaced at least 8 times. Recently the refrigerator quit cooling 2.5 year old refrigerator the craft ice cube maker went out and the indoor water/ice dispenser quit working. The refrigerator is pretty and I loved the craft ice cube and right-side door options but it was a poor quality product that we are having to replace at only 2.5 years old.

So many great features

Truly an innovative design regarding dust collection points underneath basically none temperature control and ice making. Separate door-in-door which can be lighted without opening is a super idea. Love the craft ice Unfortunately despite double filtration upstream from the unit our well water has enough impurities to cause the craft ice maker to get scratched enough after 12 months twice so far to not release the ice.

See through door refrigerator

I love EVERYTHING but the craft ice maker

This fridge rocks. Its not as big as I had hoped but I had to have counter-depth so theres that. The regular ice maker gets stuck all the time but its not as big of an issue as the craft ice maker. IT ONLY WORKS 1/10 of the time. I have to reset it at least once a week. The craft ice maker gets stuck in the drop position and will not go back up to fill with water. What a pain. I wish I researched it more - there are a ton of articles out there about how it does not work.

This refrigerator looks great in the showroom - and based on experience with other LG products were expecting a pretty neat refrigerator - but there is something really amiss with LGs build quality. We wouldnt take the showroom unit as one door was dented and the bottom freezer wouldnt roll out properly so the store arranged to deliver a new unit from the warehouse - unfortunately that one was so dented that the doors couldnt even be opened. Were now waiting for yet another unit refrigerator #3 - if it is also dented then well have to look at a different vendor. Quite disappointing so far.
