Dream becomes nightmare

After only using the Lower Oven approximately five times I noticed the fan is rusted out Rust has spewed all over the inside of the oven as well. Called LG and they said there is nothing they can do - rust is not covered under the warranty - That I need to just clean it Well how the heck did it get rusty all of a sudden in my climate controlled house?? There is obviously something else wrong with it. I have pictures to prove everything - that it was just fine on install day Im afraid to use my BRAND NEW oven installed 7/13/24 noticed rust 7/31/24 in case there is some sort of fire hazard Ill leave it to my lawyer to fight this one

Decent oven for the price.

So far my LG double built in oven has performed well. The oven internal lights are a bit dim and the fan seems a little loud. I am in the process of adjusting the temperature so it matches the display temperature.

It is a beautiful oven but so far I havent gotten any help from LG regarding the fan cycling in regular Bake exactly as it does in convection Bake. They say thats normal. The owners manual says the fan will shut off in regular bake once it reaches temperature. I tried to explain to LG that if the fan runs the same in Bake and Convection Bake then both settings would be connecting. They cant answer that one but say its normal. I am going to be pursuing this as far as they wanna go.

I purchased my refrigerator in July of 2023. It was to replace an LG I had for 7 years and never a problem. I left it with the home I sold. My new one is awesome. I love the large cocktail round ice and the regular ice cubes.

Problem w/ self clean function otherwise gr8 oven

After running self clean function there was baked on residue at the back of the oven. Had to be manually removed which took hours of effort. The bottom oven self clean worked very well. I called customer service regarding the incomplete self clean of the upper oven. I provided photos to show the residue. I was told it looks like rust and there was nothing they could do just pointed me to the owners manual on how to use self clean function. The oven is now clean and so far functioning just fine.

Great features but flaking interior

I started using this product about 1.5 years ago. I didnt use it much but noticed a few blue interior flakes. Thought it was just leftover manufacturing residual porcelain. But more and more flakes appeared even though it had not been cleaned with anything but a wet paper towel. I did like the features.

Mind numbing oven chime that wont turn off

Got this unit a year ago. For the most part Im very happy with it. PROS: It cooks evenly looks stunning and the pull out rack is great. CONS: Takes forever to preheat often 20 min or more and the chime on the top oven continues to ring every 15 seconds or so even after its done and you have removed your food. It only stops when you press cancel/stop. Dont bother trying to get an answer in the owners manual there isnt one. Ive read the whole thing. Calling Customer Service doesnt help. They put you on hold Please hold while I look through the manual only to be told it cant be turned off. I have always preferred LG products. Ive bragged about them to friends and family. This problem while it may seem insignificant to others is making me seriously regret the purchase of this oven. Another CON: The inability to talk to anyone who can help does not endear me to LG right now. Customer Service needs people who can do more than read the owners manual that I have and have read. This is a MAJOR design flaw if there is no option to turn the chime off.

No light is a problem

We bought our LG double wall oven 6 years ago and really like them with one exception.The function panel does not light up. When we use the oven to bake broil clean etc. we have to use a flash light to choose the function we want. We checked with our dealer and he said it was a design flaw or oversight by LG. Surely that shortcoming has been corrected in newer models. If so maybe we can update ours.

I bought the double oven because I am a baker and having 2 ovens seemed the ultimate luxury for me in my new kitchen. Also it has a proofing setting. I love the oven The proofing setting doesnt really work the way it needs to for baking. I have learned how to use it by keeping the oven open etc. but I do have to use a precise in oven thermometer. That being said I dont know if there is any other oven that would work any better for this. I am very happy with it. Thanksgiving: having turkey and sides come out at the same time??? NICE My favorite new appliance
