I replaced a working 2014 LFXS30766S with this model because I got a great deal on it. Cons: no soft close doors so constantly having to go back to close muscle memory for how much pressure is needed to close and having to push a button between Ice and Water. Otherwise functions as designed.

We purchased this the summer of 2021 as a replacement for a similar unit that quit after two and a half years. We like the layout and features including the craft ice maker. The problem we have though is the craft ice maker. We have had it replaced six times now with 3 different models. Thankfully each time we have not had to pay out of pocket but it has been a pain through the noise it makes when going out or the inconvenience of no ice from it. If you like a good sized four door refrigerator/freezer this is a great one except for the craft ice maker.

Beautiful and spacious but craft ice issue

We bought the fridge about 7 months ago. Though it had been scratched we loved the color the way it is set up but mostly loved the fact that it makes craft ice. But about two months ago the craft ice dispenser wasnt producing as well as it used to and a month later basically stopped working making about one sphere per day. We called the tech and they said that the ice maker was completely broken and they replaced it with a new one. According to the tech this is a known problem with these models so be sure you get insurance cause this ice maker is not cheap to replace.

After much research we chose LG and bought a suite of appliances including a refrigerator microwave double oven and dishwasher. Within 14 months the dishwasher has been replaced the refrigerator has been repaired twice and we are awaiting a new power center for the microwave. So far all the repairs have been Covered under the warranty. Needless to say I am very disappointed in the LG products.

We bought the refrigerator from Lowes marked down because they reported it only had a dent. We noted there was some mold inside and were told its because Lowes plugs it in to make sure it works. Once we got it home we noticed water marks from drinks in the door. After one day an error code kept appearing and the refrigerator kept needing reset. LG says theyll check but if its not a manufacturing issue they arent responsible. The extended warranty we bought says they arent responsible yet. So who is responsible for selling us this lemon that was only supposed to have a dent.

Ordered my refrigerator last August and was told it would be here in September. That lasted for about a week and then I was told October. It finally came....and the door was dented. Im not sure why they even put them on the truck when theyre damaged...but they did. I then waited another month and the new one came in...only to find out that the previous installers had only half screwed in the water to my ice maker....thank goodness it didnt really start leaking until the new installers pulled it out to replace.....all on real hardwood floors...needless to say I at least didnt have to talk about floor replace ment. Unit worked for about a month...then the kraft ice maker stopped. After trying everything I could on my own I finally called LG to see what to do. This is where I would have put no more than a one star rating as I was on hold for about 5 hours collectively and when I would finally get someone....they had no clue at all as to what to do to help. I finally finally saw a link to talk directly with the Presidents liaison which thank goodness I was able to do. Shakira is the only person in that company that kept me from losing it She stayed on followed up and got someone out to my home to replace the kraft ice unit. At this time its working but she even followed up with me to let me know if it doesnt....just call her. Shes the five star winner....only reason not for 5 is that I want people to read this so they are aware of the ice issues.

Purchased from big box installation was easy has worked well since purchase. Color is unique to LG doesnt match other black stainless. It seems to be a plastic application over regular stainless more of a gray than black. craft ice additional ice maker sort of works. Ice maker itself is very small capacity. Temperature holds well air filter works well.

LG tends to have a somewhat spotty track record when it comes to refrigerators. We looked at a bunch of different makes but LG really does have some of the best features. We decided to buy it and an extended warranty to be covered. It is a beautiful fridge and the craft ice is amazing. So far the only issue is it does have trouble connecting to the wifi but I can live without that...for now.

We purchased our refrigerator from Best Buy in Casper in April and did not receive it until June. We are happy with the room quiet operation and the ice maker. The craft ice is another thing. Since day one it has produced minimal craft ice balls. We would get maybe 2 or 3 a week. I have it set to produce 6 per day. It has not produced any in the past couple of weeks. I have contacted Best Buy and LG about it. Best Buy although I purchased a 5 year service plan will not come out. LG is trying to find a servicer in our area with no luck as of yet.

LG is Cutting Features While Increasing Costs

We replaced a 7-ear old LG Refrigerator almost identical to this one but in the black stainless as we simply grew tired of the inability to keep the stainless clean. We really like color and its fingerprint resistance. However our previous model--as close to this as we could get--had 3 LED lights in the refrigerator section and both freezer draws had their own LEDs. Now the fridge portion has one and the lower freezer draw has none. Also the upper freezer draw make a grinding noise when being opened or closed. I went back to my dealer and tried 2 other identical examples each made the same annoying sound. The Cafe Ice is a fun addition but it is difficult to understand how to use it from the manual. Online videos were more helpful. Overall its OK. Had we not had the full-featured previous model we likely would be much more satisfied. Finally just as with the LG washer and dryer we purchased last year the control panel is not backlit and in low light it is hard to know what feature we are activating. Have gotten water when we wanted ice etc.
