Owned this for 3 years and replaced the craft ice maker compliments of LG ood customers service year 1.5. Replaced in door ice maker year 2.5. Then realized it was a circuit board problem 3.5 years in. This was not diagnosed by lg with the original issue to replace two ice makers. Their certified techs refused to work on the unit and Im forced to pay 4500 usd for a new fridge 700 more for parts months of no ice and water and hundreds of hours of figure it all out.

I LOVED this fridge. We splurged on it. The craft ice was awesome. In 2021. Now. Neither ice works. No more craft ice no more regular ice. It makes a horrible growling sound. Tec has been out multiple times. He couldnt get parts for the regular ice while in warrantyso it never got fixed. He fixed the craft ice several times but it doesnt work. Now out of warranty. Cant get it fixed. It was really pricey. No new fridge for a while. Back to buying ice bags. I hear it will eventually stop cooling. I am very sad of this. I say dont buy this fridge it will waste your money and make you sad.

Absolutely an embarrassment of a fridge. This was very expensive and I had to have a replacement once for severe ice maker issues an ice maker repair a second time and now this time apparently its out of its ONE YEAR WARRANTY so LG wants to charge me 400 dollars to fix a known issue with the ice maker. it is embarrassing to me that such an expensive unit has such horrible problems and they do not take personal responsibility for their problems.

Had this refrigerator for 2 years 2 months. Purchased in 2022. Compressor just stopped working. Craft ice maker has also been repaired. Not what we expected from LG. Dissatisfied and disappointed to say the least.

This refrigerator is AMAZING First of all it is gorgeous in my kitchen more importantly the design of it is brilliant. The easy access door allows me to grab my drinks quickly and the fact that you can knock on it to see whats inside is so nice because I dont stand there with the door open anymore. The BEST FEATURE is the craft ice. 4 types of ice are you kidding me?? Wow. Mini cubes for my watter bottles and perfect large ice balls for my cocktails. Perfect for everyday and impressive for entertaining. My friends are jealous lol. I will never buy another fridge if it doesnt make ice balls. Game changer.

Be Warned - Class Action lawsuit for LG Applicance

LG has hidden an issue of the ice maker not making any ice - it is a defect that LG knew about but did nothing. For all those people who purchased the regridgeratior and the warranty was still good they replaced the defective ice maker with another defective ice maker - and when your warranty runs out - well too bad

Ive had this fridge for nearly four years and its generally worked as its supposed to. However many of the complaints others have had weve experienced to some degree as well. We found a small broken semi-circular piece of plastic in the craft ice tray a few weeks ago when it seemed like it wasnt working anymore. I reset that and it actually seems to work just OK now. It produces ice but its not the most beautiful stuff in the world but Im hoping that piece that broke isnt detrimental to the function of that ice maker. In addition to that the fridge itself makes all kinds of buzzing noises that others have indicated. There is an intermittent fan noise that sounds like a fan blade is making ever so close contact with what Id have to assume is either ice or some other piece of plastic/metal if tolerances are too tight. Im considering throwing this thing in our garage and it can be our garage fridge and getting something other than LG next time. I just feel horrible spending as much as this unit costs to be used as a garage fridge. I likely wont be buying another LG appliance.

Getting code FF for about a month now apparently compressor is freezing over called support and told me Im out of warranty and I have to pay out of pocket for a defective compressor its been only 16 months since I put the order through the lady on support barely spoke English and kept getting transferred last person I talked to couldnt of been more useless and condescending never buying LG again

We are on our third craft ice maker in less than five years. Even when it works it takes forever just to make one ice cube. The other ice maker in the refrigerator produce very little ice and we need the craft ice maker to keep up. I will not buy this brand again.

LG is a worldwide brand with great products but unfortunately the French-door refrigerator has a BASIG SHAMEFUL PROBLEM. The water filter needs a technician to be replaced. This is the second filter replacement since we bought this unit and it is the second time that we had to call an LG technician to do something that was supposed to be so simple changing a water filter and worse we have to pay the technician to do it pay for a problem that is not ours. Ive spoken to other LG French-door refrigerator and they have the same problem. A simple water filter replacement. How did the designers engineers quality control missed this simple item. One of the only things that a owner needs to do changing a filter and it cannot be done easily. SUCH A SHAME LG. Are we going to have to call your technician every time that the water filet needs to be replaced??? Besides paying for the filter we will always have to pay for it to be replaced? Do you really need to make money this way?

After much shopping and debating with myself I bought this fridge. I felt that it had some unnecessary features but overall I like it. I wanted ice through the door...got it and it works great The tap to view door seemed unnecessary but turns out that I like it I can grab a quick drink from my iced tea pitcher or cold brew pitcher and see exactly how much is ready to serve. Craft ice was something I wanted but it turns out that its now my go to for iced beverages Speaking of ice makers LGs compact ice maker that lives in the door is genius I lost no space in fridge or freezer from either of the ice makers This is my first fridge with the freezer on the bottom. Loving that too The top shelf of the fridge is a bit hard to access so I bought a couple of plastic turntables from Amazon...problem solved. Ive read the negative reviews and made this purchase with some trepidation. However Im relying on LGs years of experience and excellent product ratings.

Had to replace our old 31 cu ft fridge. This ones design does not allow us to store things like our old one. The middle draw in the freezer is about useless. Cant even put a 1-pound roll of hambuger in it. Nor a box of butter sticks. The storage on the door-in-door also limits what we can put there. Our old one a gallon of tea and quart of chocolate milk plus orange juice container fit in one. Not with this one. And the little tiny shelf at the bottom is worthless as well. I have nothing that fits in it. The shelf in front of the water filter is super thin. Nothing round will fit. We could fit our salad dressings plus mustard ketchup mayonnaise and a couple other things on one shelf. Not so with this one. So now they take up room in the fridge.

Ive had this refrigerator less than a year I wish I had read these reviews before I paid the money invested in this model. The one I have constantly leaks water from the ice maker in the door when I called they said empty the ice maker although this did work why should I have to get up in the morning to water all over my floor I will never buy any other LG anything. Mainly because everything Ive read coming from them in these reviews has nothing about helping fix the issues just contact us well most of the people have contacted you without a fix to the issues were having. Way too much to spend on a refrigerator that doesnt work properly.

Faulty Water Filter Replacement

Beautiful refrigerator until we had to change the water filter - there is a problem with the design and it is impossible to reattach a new filter as the ridged catch is no longer in the correct place. Discovered these complaints everywhere online. Also there is no listing anywhere for a compatible air filter replacement and that light has now been on for 3 weeks. Really disappointed.

Ice makers dont make enough ice for 3 people and craft ice maker rarely works . I tried to report the issue to LG and its taken several tries to get a service call in. Whats the point of registering the product when you have to provide the same information several times over. Very disappointed for the money I spent.

In that time we have had the craft ice maker replaced twice the control panel once and we have a service guy coming to replace the ice maker for the 3rd time. Thank God we bought the extended warranty. I have emailed the president of LG stating what a crappy product this is. I doubt they will do anything but I feel better voicing my opinion.

When you pay this kind of money for a product you would expect a little more thought would have gone into it. Neat features but that is it. I had to have the compressor replaced the main ice maker works when it wants to the freezer will work well for a couple weeks then everything defrosts for a day or twogetting warranty work is a complete pain and just not worth it anymore. I have had to resort to cutting my losses and never buying LG again. I have a washer that is LG l less than 2 years old and needed to have it serviced 3xs already. AND we had a LG TV that was 2 months out of warranty fail.

Bought this fridge 12/2021 the first unit they delivered did not even power on not even the lights. A few days later another unit was delivered it worked for 2 weeks then stopped dispensing water and both ice makers stopped working. A repairman came ordered a part that is on back order of course. Its been a month and half and still no ice. A repair has yet to be scheduled.

Great fridge But took days to get really cold

I love the functionality and freezer drawers. Its so much easier to organize this freezer than my last one. The separate door for drinks is brilliant. The only issue was how long it took to get cold after installation. I set the temp of the fridge to 37. It got down to 40 within hours but took 3 or 4 days to get colder and stay there at around 37 or 38.

Saved and waited 2 years to buy LG instaView and was delivered 3/24/2018. I loved it until first problem 6/23/2019 no ice. replaced fan. 6/18/21 refrig/freezer not working. After 2 different reviews said needed new compressor. After waiting for parts compressor was installed 7/13/21. After 4 weeks no ice refrig not cold and freezer not freezing. Service now said compressor is working but it is internal problem they said they cannot fix. Now waiting for them to turn in report. They cannot say what will happen I just have to wait. Would really think hard before buying another LG product.

French Door Double Tap w/out water feature

first it is NOT 68+ inches tall. It is over 70 tall which now makes my upper cabinets useless. They cant open. Yes the refrig is 68+ HOWEVER the door and the unit on top for the freezer.....remember it is a bottom freezer......no one told me that AND all the paperwork and internet says 68+ inches. forget the drawers. slide the plastic for fruit vs. vegetables. please......my 10+ refrig had MORE freezer shock as I call it....can freeze ice cubes beer soda water w/in 6 minutes. this one....nope. 20 minutes for a beer soda water gatorade and not frozen. back to veggies and fruits. mine are rotting faster than my ol good guy. yep if it aint broke........dont fix it. nice looking cool looking and that is about it. nope for the rest. no fresh fruit veggies super duper anything.

I purchased my fridge in October of 2020. The ice maker stopped working in April of 2021. The repair tech has been out three times. Now not only are both icemaker inoperable the regular and craft ice maker the fridge no longer cools. According to LG my issues do not qualify for a replacement at this time. Ive lost food and medication without acceptable results from LG.

We have owned our refrigerator since December 2019 but werent able to install it in out new house until May 2020. It fit perfectly with everything looks great and easy to operate and remember how it operates. The filters air and water are also easy to change I thought something was wrong since it wasnt producing craft ice as fast as I thought it should. I called our local Dr Appliance a service tech came out went over the unit with a fine toothed comb and determined it was working perfectly. So I quit worrying and patiently let it make ice on its own schedule not mine. We also love the smaller cubes the upper ice maker does. This is also the first refrigerator that has a door dispenser that we like. If I had it to go over again I would definitely buy this unit

Ive only had this refrigerator for a short time but I love the way the space is arranged. The space on the doors is a perfect size for standing bottles that always fell over in my old fridge. Craft ice is a frivolous feature for such a great refrigerator. The problem with it is that it does not create spheres. The ice is round mostly but with a flat spot.

Thus far we have had no problems with our fridge. It was/is a challenge in getting used to the space inside having come from a side-by-side. But we have not had any issues with the unit thus far and everything seems to be working well. My 1 complaint MIGHT be if I had to have one is the Craft Ice system sometimes makes non-complete ice in that there is a a flat on the spheres.... sometimes. But like I said no problems thus far knock on wood.

This is by far the fanciest fridge Ive ever owned weve always been scratch and dent appliances owners but remodeling our kitchen required a new fridge. The features and size are awesome. We love the craft ice and dual ice option. Will echo ice is not produced quickly but we have our old fridge downstairs and using that ice maker in addition. No issues did purchase extended warranty from Lowes. Also the washer and dryers are the best Ive ever used which is what led us to this fridge.

I had it only a week when it started getting warm inside at one point it was 60 inside the fridge. After many many many phone calls to LG and them saying ok well send someone and no one showing up for 3 weeks I finally decided to call Plessers Appliances and within 2 days I had someone there the fridge says 33 on front but its always 39 inside The water Dispenser puts out room temperature water my old fridge put out cold water. after having 7 repairmen to fix cooling the answer is I have to deal with it it wont get any cooler. If we turn it to 33 the coolest it goes down to the frig will get down to 40 degrees. The bare minimum for food safety. But the door is often 5 degrees warmer. not safe temp. round ice is nice yea its flat sort of on one side... and the icemaker that has both crushed or cubed is nice. it make enough for one pitcher and the craft ice only limits itself to 30 balls. i cannot get wi fi to work it was non functioning so cannot increase ice making.

I purchased this exact unit in 11/19 and today it stopped cooling and freezing. The tech came today and said that there is an issue with the compressors in these models and he will need to replace.
