I didnt buy a new fridge. Mine is 5 years old instead of replacing the whole fridge for us you guys decided to replace with REFURBISHED parts TWICE because they dont make parts for this fridge. THE FRIDGE STILL DOES NOT WORK then you all try to charge me $450 to come out again even though we were told we had 90 days on the parts because our warranty ended. So so upset. We have had this fridge for 5 years it stopped working. You guys came and replaced parts TWICE with refurbished parts because this fridge was discontinued THE FRIDGE STILL DOES NOT WORK. I reached out again you wanted to charge me $450 to come out again when these parts were supposed to be covered by 90 day warranty.. nope. They wont replace your fridge they just want you to buy a new one. They do not care about fixing the problem. They want you to spend more money. So extremely disappointed with customer service how everything was handled how we were extremely mistreated.

I bought this expensive LG fridge and it couldnt be repaired after 4 years. The water lines were completely corroded. I have city water and no well water so this speaks for itself - the quality of this fridge is terrible. Calling their customer service dont know how often Ive called them spending hours on the phone they said they cant do anything. Great service

Nothing but problems with this refrigerator since we purchased it. We have had two craft ice makers fail Along with the main Door ice seized up once a week. The hinge for the see-through door failed and bent the door to the point where the seals do not seal This causes constant freezing of food. While the see-through glass is a neat feature It doesnt really provide any value Ive had side-by-side that I felt like there was more space than this refrigerator. The stainless steel is easily marked and any type of food will leave a permanent stain. Save your pennies and find a better unit

Its just awful Moved the refrigerator that was working perfectly but now its showing a CO code. There is no one authorized to work on LG in our area and none of the other appliance repair people will touch it. Apparently there is a lawsuit over these. I called LG for help but was basically told SOL. I dont know what to do with it. Take it to the dump?

Weve had this fridge for about 5 years now and we love it. I am surprised to see such negative reviews. We dont use the craft ice feature but the one time we did it was a neat thing to do. We love the extra door for maintaining better temp in the fridge at large we use it mostly for drinks. Love that you can see everything in the fridge so nothing gets lost. And I think the produce really does stay fresh longer than any other fridge Ive used We have been very happy with it so far.

Poor quality refrigerator. Save your money. Do not buy this item. Kraft ice maker stopped working after 6 months. Had the warranty and needed it for the entire 2 years. Then after 2 years we were left with a broken non-working craft ice maker. At 5 years our water filtration system in the back has cracked and linked water all over the floor. This very expensive refrigerator does not live up to the quality that a $4000 refrigerator should be. We will never buy another LG refrigerator ever again.

I had this fridge for around two and a half years two years in the fridge stopped working and it started to give me an FF error meaning that the cooling motor in the freezer wasnt working correctly so I called an LG technician and had several parts replaced. The technician replaced the ice maker and the evaporation motor which he said could be the reason for this error. I paid $500 to fix this problem. Six months later the same error showed up. Turns out that the radiator in the freezer ices over and freezes the cooling fan to a stop. I had to buy a whole new fridge because of this.

I am surprised to read all the negative reviews. I had this frig in my prior house for and loved it so much I bought the same one when I moved. Ive now had this frig for ~2.5 yrs and havent had any issues. Love the craft ice just wish it could make more faster. Love the light up door easy to reach items well organized with flexible shelves and spacing is well planned. Perhaps they need to look at improving consistency/quality control but I love mine and glad I got a good one.

Why do all ice makers always break?

Fridge was great for 18 months until the door ice maker destroyed itself. Was working fine and heard a loud cracking noise when the ice maker had snapped itself and cut the electrical wire. The LG representative was nice and trying to be helpful but was asking questions like have you ensured the power is on when I was explaining that there were fragments of plastic breaking off from the ice maker. Was going to take weeks to get a representative out to fix and will probably cost 3x what the part is so I will have to do it myself. $4000+ fridge just out of warranty. Classic.

Both Ice Makers Failure

Bought this fridge about 1.5 years ago. Regular ice maker worked but it wouldnt keep ice cold. We thought water was dripping from water dispenser but turned out to be ice slowly melting. Craft Ice: It was winter and we had not needed craft ice but we realized the craft ice machine wasnt producing about a month ago. Went through YouTube videos from LG to try and trouble shoot. The mechanism doesnt look the same. Either the tray isnt working properly or has a different mechanism but water doesnt dispense. Bummer to know both featured we wanted failed for the hefty price tag.

Nice fridge except craft ice maker stopped working

Weve had our fridge for around 1.5 years and have been very pleased. Until last week when we discovered our favorite ice wasnt available anymore. The round craft ice is jut a puddle of frozen water.

Craft Ice Maker useless after 11 months

I bought this directly from LG in 2020. I week short of a year the craft icemaker stopped working appropriately. It was replaced and worked again for 12 months. Then exactly the same issue. The ice spheres freeze in the maker it tries to refill and spills over the water that freezes on the container below making a mess. This is either because the deicer around the spheres stops working or the rubber that conforms the ice mold get stuck with limescale. But there is no way to clean it as ice maker keeps the two halves molds closed.

2 months so far. Replaced original fridge because it was NOT counter depth so when we went with this one everything still fits in it like before We anticipated a loss of room not so....due I believe because of shelf design door option exc. // same for freezer. awesome also love the craft ice maker is slow but I take and put em in freezer bags no problemo I have lots of craft ice balls....however in the middle of the night it sounds like a burglar the cubes get like pounded out of mold so a bit noisy LOL My wife and i love this fridge and it looks SO COOL

craft ice make broken again

We bought this at Costco in 2019 because they double the 1 yr warranty. Less than a year in the craft icemaker stopped working. LG replaced it then just past the 2yr mark the craft ice maker stopped again. This time out of warranty. Spoke to an LG tech and he says he replaces these every week. He says so does the other 30 techs he works with. I cant believe LG hasnt fixed this or at least offer free replacement until they make one that doesnt fail. The only reason we bought it was for the craft ice maker. Stay Away

Craft Ice is a failure

The first two refrigerators delivered were damaged took weeks to get refrigerator. Have had issues with the craft ice maker since day one. The ice spheres freeze in the maker it tries to refill and freezes shut. LGs solution was to replace the craft ice maker. The replacement from day one has done the exact same thing. It is a design flaw. Dont make the same mistake Not worth the very hefty price tag for a refrigerator.

Just received the fridge yesterday. Didnt realize the ice maker is too small and can make a very limited quantity. Secondly the worst thing is the water dispenser the stream is so small and slow.Takes a long time to fill a glass. Is there an adjustment on the flow. Rest is fine for now. Nowhere on your reviews and specification does it state the flow of the stream. It literally comes out in streaks. Thats ridiculous. I may return this fridge.

My first and probably last LG refrigerator

I bought this refrigerator in the fall of 2019 replacing a BOSCH refrigerator installed by my builder. What I noticed right away was how much quieter this LG refrigerator is compared to the BOSCH which is great because of my open floor plan and the fact that my home office is right below the kitchen. I initially experienced some trouble with getting the LG refrigerator connected to the app. A needed code simply was not included with the documentation. And the model was so new when I bought it that when I called LG customer service they told me they werent even finding my model in their system. After several frustrating and unhelpful calls including one in which the rep just flat hung up on me I finally got the code number and was able to connect the fridge to the app. It was clear to me that whoever was in charge of the documentation had just not thought through the customer experience. And the calls to LG for help had quickly made it clear to me that LGs customer service is significantly broken as it is not serving customers well. As an enthusiastic bourbon drinker one of the features I was most excited about with this model was the craft ice maker. But within six months of install it began making a load banging sound which I could not remedy. So I had to have a technician come out and do a warranty repair. During that repair visit the technician broke one of the plastic shelves on one of the doors. He told me hed order a replacement and would have it shipped directly to me. Long story short it took the better part of a year and 8 calls to customer service to get that stupid shelf. I wont get into the level of incompetence and the complete and total lack of accountability on display with most of those transactions. And now with my fridge out of warranty the craft ice maker has failed again just about a year after it was replaced. Reading other reviews here about this model and other failures Im wondering if I should count myself lucky that it is only the craft ice maker that isnt working. Ive owned other refrigerators from Sub-Zero and BOSCH for years without any incident. So the fact that this LG fridge has caused so much trouble in a short time does not exactly endear me to the idea of buying any other major appliances in the future from LG.

Left doors slams shut

I bought this fridge in April 2020. I have had 2 techs come out the first one said our floor was not level. My husband does remodeling and said that was ridiculous he does measurements for a living. So we had another tech come out and he said it is a malfunction of the way the spring works on the left door and that they have a warehouse full of the same model # fridges and they all do it. So any others words we better get used to the slamming which is really loud and makes you feel like it is tearing up the fridge. My question is has any one else had this problem. I love this refrigerator but hate the door slamming. I now wish I had bought a different fridge because I cant stand the loud sound it just seems like this is really wrong.

Instaview causes food spoilage.

We have had a similar LG InstaView for a year now. We realized that food items we placed inside the instaview door would spoil quickly. Using a thermometer we discovered the temperature is higher than the rest of the fridge especially when there is sun in the kitchen. This is causing the spoilage. It is a design flaw but unfortunately we are past the Costco return date and LG will not replace the fridge based on their design flaw. We experienced very poor customer service from LG who suggested we turn down the temperature so the items in the door will be cold but everything inside the main fridge will be icy. As a result we have lost a lot of storage space that the door provided. Buyer beware on this design flaw which we never use anyways who wants to knock just to see whats in the door?.

Poor quality

I bought this one in 9/2018 and two months ago the fridge was not working probably. All cooked food and fresh fruit gone bad in couple of days. I bought it from Sear and still having the protection plan agreement covering until next year. They sent OC repair contractor out to fix it and I was told the compressor leak. They came replaced the compressor last week and now the freezer is not working no ice all frozen food melted. It is so frustrated to spend that much on the refrigerator and dealing with all this issues

We LOVE our new fridge

I researched refrigerators for a long time and debated whether to go for one with so many features - the old more to break adage. I am so glad I got over that because we are all thrilled with the new fridge. The icemakers are great and work perfectly the flexibility of the door in door and adjustable shelf are great. The freezer is HUGE and I like that there are several options - a large shallow drawer and two deeper ones. Overall though its only been a couple weeks this is a winner

Flimsy and non-usable space inside the fridge

I bought this fridge because of the amount of storage space it lists. Because of the brackets you cant stack things as high as you can in a sub zero. The brackets in the middle get in the way. Also there is no space for raw food that may leak. We use the two drawers for veggies and the bottom drawer for cheese and meats. There is no spot left that wouldnt contaminate the veggies. The bottom drawer is terrible. You have to open up both fridge doors to get to it but the real problem is that you cant open it all the way up. It is hard to stack things in there to find them and get them in and out of the drawer. The bottom shelf of the door in a door is a skinny and not great shelf. There is also a shelf on the other door under the ice maker that took me over two weeks to find. It is totally useless. You have to duck down completely to see it. If we cant see it we will totally forget about what is there. I am returning this model to get the same fridge with the convertible drawer. I will lose the useless bottom drawer of the fridge and on the doors and a flimsy thin shelf in the freezer that we use for ice cream sandwiches and pizzas and I will gain a totally accessible fridge space that I can section off for raw food cheeses meats etc. That model has slightly less overall space but more usable space for the fridge if you choose to use the convertible drawer for fridge instead of freezer space. I love the door in a door. My family uses it for all the daily items that we need. I do recommend the fridge but I am not pleased with the layout of this model nor the flimsiness of some of the plastic shelves.

The refrigerator compartment is bigger than it appears. The freezer compartment is a little smaller than a side-by-side but the two pullout freezer drawers make up for the loss of space. The ice dispenser shoots some ice out of the sides of a regular height drinking container onto the floor. Annoying so you have to lift the drinking glass up to the dispenser. Not a major setback you get used to it. Otherwise Ive enjoyed not having to bend over a lot to get to the bottom bins of a side-by-side.

Bought this fridge and within the first week we started having issues opening the right door. Anytime the door is pulled open the outer small door will open regardless of whether or not the button was pushed. The clasp lifts as soon as the door is pulled. We have to open the left door and then we will have to reach in the fridge to pull the right side door open from the inside. If this one part is failing after one week I cant wait to see whats to come.

Refrigerator not cooling

A brand new fridge and after waiting for more than 24 hr the fridge part of the appliance never cooled reached to the low 68 degree. It sounds like the cooling fan is working but no cool air is coming out of the vents. I had high expectations for this fridge however very disappointed .
