LG had to give me a new fridge

***Update*** LG came out to repair my fridge for the 3rd time that was on a Tuesday Thursday morning I came down stairs to a puddle of water on the floor me thinking the dog peed on the floor I fuss at her go to open the fridge I hear water running out. I open the freezer the ice cream is soft I lost it Now I have to wait until 8 am to call the 800 #. I call them she has me push some buttons to give her the error code long story short I had to get a new fridge. Now the trouble starts they have me jump thru all these hoops I pass all the tests and Im told they will give me my money back plus a 15 discount but I have to purchase off their website. So I had to wait for an email with this #attached to it before I could use it. I go to the website place my order select my date of delivery the day comes Friday the 13th Im getting all these texts day of and day before get ready good news great news your order Is out for delivery 7pm hits Im like its going to be dark soon theyre not delivering in the dark so I call 1st of all the delivery company NEVER had my fridge the guy on the other end was totally rude over talked me didnt speak English well AT ALL claimed his name was Kevin no way very rude He tells me well we cant deliver your fridge until next Tuesday So now Im coming up on over a week without a refrigerator Im just so disappointed and unhappy with this entire experience so much more went on in between thats just too much to type out. I received my new fridge last Tuesday today is 6/23 and so far all is well. By the way they gave me $500.00 to replace the food that I had to throw out TWICE not enough and $100.00 for the missed appointment. I have a question what happened to customer service? Do companies not care if customers are satisfied? Once they get your money they are done with you. I got news for them in this day and age word of mouth google reviews surveys Are very important had I read this review when I purchased my fridge I wouldnt have chosen it. I write reviews for Amazon and Google I have thousands of people reaching out to me to ask questions about something I wrote a review on. Im 100 honest and fair. So because of this AWFUL experience as my appliances stop working Im moving on to a different maker Im done with LG and thats too bad because my entire house is LG lifes good not so good for me. We now have 2 refrigerators I will never be caught in that situation ever again and guess whats the 2nd one is not LG

TRASH they sold me a LEMON

*****UPDATE**** This refrigerator is TRASH Im on my 3rd repair for the same problem I had a tech out on Tuesday May27 2025 because my refrigerator still was not cooling this time he was here for a few hours give or take and he replaced the Condenser last time he replaced the fan. On Friday the 30th I woke up to an CLE code. Thats 3 days later. Gibsons which is the repair company ABC Warehouse uses tell me they cant come out until June 11th everyone I speak to seems to be okay with that. I HAVE NO REFRIGERATION Im running back and forth to the grocery store store three times a day or Im buying fast food today for lunch my husband and I spent $21.00 for fast food for 2 ppl. Not to mention this is the 2nd time I had to throw out all of my food hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth. Lets not forget the money Im spending on fast food the extra gas for running back and forth to the grocery store and NO ONE CARES they have 1repair man and no and their appointments are booked out for 2 weeks or more. MY whole house is LG kitchen and laundry. Stove refrigerator dish washer microwave washer and dryer. Im just so taken aback that I spent over $4000.00 and I have no refrigerator. NEVER AGAIN. I write reviews for Google Im an Influencer for Amazon and I write reviews for them Im an influencer for Tick Tock and Instagram I can not wait to see how this whole thing ends so that I can do my job. Good or bad Im writing a review.

Poor performance

We have had this model for less than 2 years and all of the door bins have cracked and broken and I cant find replacements The craft ice clumps the black stainless coating has rubbed off in spots and for some reason the mold grows quickly on food in this fridge. This is a very poor product for the price

This fridge is TRASH plz do not waste your time or money on this piece of trash I purchased this brand new on 1/31/25 on 4/25/25 it stopped cooling. I did some troubleshooting one of the suggestions was to unplug it for 5 minutes I got it all pulled out got it unplugged waited the 5 minutes no problem about 2 hrs later the same error code appeared this time I had my husband cut the power to the kitchen for 10 minutes. I plugged it back in error code gone. I got up at 5am the next morning Saturday error code was back. I called LG and was told the part that I need is not covered remember I got this fridge just a little over 3 months ago Thats such a scam So I called the store where I purchased it from to ask about my warranty guess what - that place is only open Monday-Friday. I called this morning and was told they have no openings until Friday meanwhile I have a refrigerator and freezer packed with food IM NEVER BUYING LG again

Compressor keeps breaking down. Fan keeps breaking down. Only on the 2nd year. Horrible and unacceptable

Craft ice issues

I purchased this refrigerator from Costco in 2020 due to the extended warranty. Had the control panel replaced the first year Glad I purchased the 5 year warranty b/c this year the craft ice decided not to work . Called Allstate to put a service request. Was told by LG to manually defrost the refrigerator wait 24 hours plug back in and if it still doesnt work to call back. This is not acceptable for the price.

worst refrigerator we have ever owned. now on our 3rd compressor and 2nd fresh food evaporator. craft icemaker died 3 years ago couldnt be fixed. ice dams up in the regular icemaker and we have to break it up with a paint stick so it will make more ice. cant believe how bad the quality is.

In little over one year it broke. Four service calls in last 6 weeks circuit board replaced twice lower ice-maker broke and replaced upper ice-maker replaced compressor replace and nothing works. Fridge does not cool. I am thinking of recycling it as a cupboard

Craft ice broke compressor broke ice clumps etc

First the craft ice maker stopped making ice. After service call worked again then stopped again. Quit using it. Next the compressor burned up and was replaced. Then the regular ice maker ice melts and than clumps up so that it thinks the bin is full but there is a jam preventing it from making more ice so we run out. Finally put sensors in the refrigerator and freezer and the temp fluctuates erratically in both areas sometimes the refrig is between 40 and 50 degrees for up to 6 hours. Cant be good for the food. LG never again.

Flawless after 3 Years

Purchased 3 years ago pretty much flawless operation. The only niggle being the sensitivity of insta-view window light sensor. The light flashes on off when playing music even at a moderate level. I really like the convenience of the extra door but honestly found little use for the window to view inside. I disconnected the tap sensor to stop the flashing light there should be a sensitivity setting in the app. The craft ice proved to be a gimmick I would rather have a 2nd regular ice maker in the freezer as the door ice has limited volume even for a 2 person household. Besides that its a fantastic modern efficient nice looking fridge that works as advertised.

Refrigerator came with house we bought - both were 6 months old. This was a second refrigerator in a downstairs kitchenette. Its fabulous Love the doors cooling freezer space convenience for drinks ice dispenser and depth. Wasnt expecting all this. For a 2nd refrigerator its over the top. Really pleased.

Not Happy for the cost

I brought this refrigerator 2 months ago their replacing the mother board already have a defrosting problem with leakage out of the water dispener craft ice melted then refroze. Technican said more problems to watch out for with compressor and with refrigerator/freezer defrosting every few month. Not happy right now to spend that kind of money to buy a bad product.

We had ours for six months its counter debth and doesnt hold as much as you would think. Taking away that extra space matters. Its good for two people that like a full fridge or a family that doesnt keep much in their fridge. It already had a freezer defect that we had to have fixed causing us some stress.

Counterdepth fridge but cant use as one

We only have this fridge a few hours. I think the instaview feature is helpful whereas the door in door feature not so much. Not only that but the design makes the door panel thicker and it hits the corner of our countertop not allowing us enough to fully open the door unless the fridge is pulled out 3 inches from the wall. This almost negates the look of the counterdepth feature.

Love The Features But....

... it takes a little getting used to. By that I mean I have come from the old standard fridge of the past to the standard side by side. SO not only am I adjusting to the lower freezer I am also getting used to the door-in-door feature which I LOVE as well as rearranging the contents of the fridge to accommodate my needs still trying to figure out where I want everything. But thus far it has been prefect. We opted for the craft ice it works well. Although you should know that it only makes approx. 3 balls a day. So dont rush out the day before a party expect a full container of ice the next day. Im only giving this fridge a 3-star Value rating only because lets face it nobody NEEDS all these features. In fact theres something to be said about a plain old-fashioned fridge that costs 1/3 or less. But then you wouldnt be a Baller either. LOL

Going on 5 months and were are very happy. We love the craft ice maker Having 3 ice options is pretty fantastic. Really like the pre-measured water option also. The adjustable shelves was more useful than I thought for the unexpected big items.

Craft ice and well designed refrigerator

As a new home owner this refrigerator was the first major appliance I put into it have had it for a few weeks and I love it The craft ice is the real deal and is something really unique. In the fridge itself is LG best design in my opinion in terms of shelving for interior space and it is extremely quiet when it runs. I bought this refrigerator from a local appliance dealer meaning that if there does happen to be some issues I at least know there is a great warranty included and they will take care of it. So far I cant recommend this refrigerator enough
