Great for a large family but issues w/ ice maker

We have really enjoyed our LG fridge. We had a few issues when we first got it and had to have a part replaced and now we are having issues with the ice maker in the freezer not wanting to make ice and leaking water. Its great having both ice makers but we havent been able to use them constantly.

Ice issues

I bought the refrigerator in July 2022. Except for the ice issues the frig is good. In Jan 2023 the in door ice maker stopped working IC error. The technician replaced the ice maker but still no ice. After a new circuit board the in door ice maker works. In July 2024 the craft ice maker stopped working. After coordinating with LG support a new craft ice maker was shipped for self install. In Sept 2024 IF error appeared ice fan. I reset the frig serval time but error returns. The technician replaced the ice fan panel and so far no further issues.

I bought this 2018.Then 2021 it broke and covered by warrenty but the guy changed the whole compresser. Now that thing not work again and it only 6-7years and now I called the customer service. it may cost almost 500 and they only can show up next monday because they are too busy.

Just over a year and problems starting

Just over a year old and the fridge is displaying IF E which is for the Ice maker fan of course its out of warranty so LG wont do anything about it. Really disappointed with this piece of junk. Several thousand dollars and the product barely made it a year before its first problem and the dishwasher I got with it had the heating element go out at just over a year as well. Apparently LG is just pumping out garbage like everyone else and ripping you off with the price tag for said garbage.

Great Fridge

Weve had this refrigerator for about two years now and love it. No problems and great experience. I cant think of anything that especially stands out about it but in my judgment it has great design and quality. The black stainless steel looks really nice. Im a fan. We now have 3 LG appliances and I am planning to buy a range as soon as LG releases their new line of electric ranges. Wish they would publish an expected date for that.

Good but annoying breaks

Just over the year where the door warranty ended a tiny on about 5mm broke that keeps the right door shut when the left is being closed. Now I have to pay to get the whole door fixed or figure out my own solution Then my ball ice maker went out shortly after the pin broke. Luckily it was under warranty and was replaced at no charge.

Our craft ice maker was not working. LG received a notification from our refrigerator and sent me a text to call for service. I did and a repair person was at our house within a few days and replaced the ice maker. Could not have been easier.

Problem with craft ice maker

The only problem we have with our LG is the craft ice maker.Last weekLG replaced it for the third time.ITstops making ice and it sounds like someone is in there pounding with a hammer.It is a problem but LG service has come out and replaced it within a few days and all three of the service men were veery nice.Aside from thatWE really like our LG.

Great size but cant use the ice

I love the ability to fit everything. The doors werent adjusted when installed and they also scratched it during installation. They failed to hook up the water since they eere in a hurry. The water tastes a bit strange but the icemaker has a bad plastic taste to the ice. I have dumped it out several times. Also got Styrofoam in the ice floating g on top of the drink. I read reviews and thought they fixed all these problems on the 2023 model 3016d but obviously not. I would return it if I could.

Overall happy with it. Needed a repair fortunately in the warranty period. Fairly quick service through Costco. Fridge was still functional so could wait the few days it took.

We LOVE our LG Refrigerator

We have had it over a year and love all the features. I would highly recommend this style of refrigerator. My husband loves the Craft Ice feature. The only problem we have experienced is the Craft Ice stopped making and the way to solve it was to press a button on the icemaker. The Veggie and Fruit bins keep items fresh for a long time. We shopped for a while and this is what we decided on. Absolutely LOVE it. We made the best decision

I bought this fridge in August of 2021. I have already had to replace the craft ice maker 2 different times. Im now on the 4th craft icemaker in less than 2 years and it is starting to act up too. This is asinine for a fridge of this price.

I called the number listed for help. The person that answered was impossible to understand because of her heavy accent. I finally understand that I needed to download the app and update the craft ice maker software. I did that a week ago and the ice maker still doesnt work.
