LG stands for Life is not good with our product

The water filter and air filter replacement is based on TIME 6 months and not on usage . Service is almost impossible to get . I have had the same problem for three years and service is almost not existent especially for warranty repairs.

This is my first LG product and I am thrilled with it. It looks BEAUTIFUL in my kitchen and it is beautiful on the inside. The internal structure is easy to organize and find the contents. The door shelves are sized well and there is no wasted space. My favorite is the mini-door for quick access to large drink bottles i.e. 2 gallons of milk or 3-4 liters of soda or perhaps prosecco when we are entertaining. The craft ice is a real crowd pleaser. Everyone who comes in our kitchen takes notice of the refrigerator and usually compliments its look and features. The only reason I did not give it 5 Stars was we have had the craft icemaker replaced 3 times under warranty and I was advised on the last replacement January 2024 that the problem has been corrected and not expected to reoccur.

I have been the proud owner of this refrigerator for 2 years. Not only is it beautiful it is spacious its easy to organize and easy to keep clean. I especially like the door in door convenience for large containers. Im always pleased when guests like to help themselves for drinks. They will often open all the doors just for a good look and comment they would like this for their next refrigerator. The Craft Ice is always a hit even during this winter of below-zero weather.

Dont Buy This Refrigerator

We bought this refrigerator 3/2021. It worked beautifully for 2 years. During these past two months I have had the compressor replaced Freon placed in the new compressor and a new motherboard installed. The refrigerator continues to erratically show an error code or beeps when the door is shut. If the error code appears we have no access to ice or water. I contacted LG numerous times and have been basically told its past the warranty period and they cant do anything. The repairman who has been here numerous times and has attempted to correct the problem an LG specialist has concluded that there is a wiring issue that needs to be addressed. LG has not responded and has made no attempt to address the problem. I cannot recommend LG products after experiencing such frustration and lack of support.

Has broken down multiple times within a year

We purchased this refrigerator about a year ago and have had repairs done three times already and we are troubleshooting another issue right now. Since we bought it the fan for the ice maker failed and had to be replaced and the compressor failed and had to be replaced TWICE leaving us with hundreds of dollars of spoiled wasted food. Now the fan for the ice maker is AGAIN having issues. Before they come out to see if it needs replacing we have been instructed to defrost the unit mind you it was defrosted a couple of weeks ago due to the second failed compressor. So now we must spend more money to buy coolers or again lose all our food to see if defrosting will solve the issue. Im not optimistic. Thank god we purchased an extended warranty on this horrible refrigerator. I would file for a new unit if there were a lemon law for fridges. I do NOT recommend this product Sadly we thought we were buying something good due to LG being a reputable brand and having a good review on CR. Not so much. I want to win the $$ for filling out this review. I could use it to offset the costs of our ruined food.

I have owned the fridge for half a year. In that time I have had to reset the craft ice maker countless times It is now to the point in month seven that it will not rest or produce ice. This was the singular reason for purchasing this brand It is worthless at this point.

I bought the LG refrigerator in 2020. I really enjoy the features and would have rated 5 stars. However my only complaint is the craft ice maker that needed to be replaced 5 times. Hopefully with the new design to the craft ice maker this will be the last. The technician from LG who did the repair seemed competent and knew of the problem and the fix.

Our new LG refrigerator is not only very functional but a beautiful addition to our newly remodeled kitchen. I really like the two ice makers and the option of size on the ball ice cubes and the ability to open a door just to grab the milk or drinks instead of opening the whole door. Much more efficient use of electricity. Quality performance and would highly recommend to anyone who wants or needs a new refrigerator

This is our first counter depth refrigerator and we LOVE it. For the first time Everything is accessible and easy to find. The door-in-door feature is great for the stuff you use frequently. There was a problem with the craft ice maker but LGs response was fantastic It would be difficult to find a company with better customer service

Problems

We installed this refrigerator in December. Since then we have had to have the craft icemaker replaced twice due to leakage and freeze up. The second replacement seems to be working. The door icemaker works fine although it spills ice occasionally. It seems that icemaker design should be reconsidered.

Decided to go all out with this purchase. The good reviews from Consumers sealed the deal. Read some reviews about noise faulty compressors about techs not wanting to service LGs. but those seemed to be older reviews we are hoping things have improved.

Bought this a few months ago and with the door-in-door I no longer have to struggle to get to the back of the refrigerator. It sounds dumb that I need the WiFi to text me that door was left open but its become very useful to my wife. We entertain a bit and those round ice cubes are a conversation starter.

So far Im enjoying our new refrigerator. My first French Door style ... getting used to the shelf layout and storage restrictions. The quality is excellent... feels solid... my only complaints are: 1. the display is difficult to read. Lettering need s to be illuminated or brighter. 2. The indoor icemaker doesnt allow for deep door shelving. An issue avoided with a side by side refrigerator. 3. The door in door also has sim pockets

We have had our LG fridge for about 2 months. In that time we have had a diagnostic visit when it stopped making ice and began warming up. In the last 2 weeks we have had 2 compressors installed and are waiting for another service on 6/20. Still not cooling down.

Reliable and well designed

We both this refrigerator last July as a replacement of a similar model by Frigidaire that lasted only two years very disappointing. Our main requirement was reliability and we selected this model based on the the Home Depot sales expert who helped us with this purchase. So far it has lived up to expectations. We also appreciate the inner space organization in the refrigerator compartment. We hardly use some of the advanced features such as crafted ice actually would prefer more space in the freezer in lieu of this or WiFi connectivity. The only problem we have been having so far is that the freezer door often appears wobbly and unstable. We will probably use the warranty to have this checked.

Love my fridge but needs repair

I bought an LG fridge because of its reputation for quality. The stainless is top quality no fingerprints I love it. The interior is spacious and well lit making it easy to access everything and keep clean. Love the door in door love the craft ice Ive had my fridge for maybe 4 months and started getting too much moisture on the interior then loud weird banging that I thought was from outside my house Then I noticed leaking water all frozen in the bottom of the freezer next to where the craft ice falls. Mine is still under warranty and a repair guy is coming in a couple days to fix it. I hope this problem is a fluke because I want to keep loving my fridge The need for repair is the only reason I didnt give it 5 stars. Im pretty sure I would recommend it to a friend depends on how the repair goes. Ill let you know.

This fridge replaced one taking up the exact same amount of floor space but this one has so much room. How is that possible? Better organized shelf storage food items are easily accessible freezer holds lots. Plus the fridge looks nice in our modern farmhouse decor.
