Rusts after 3 years.

It takes forever to dry and after only 3 years of moderate use - both racks are thoroughly rusted and replacements will cost hundreds of dollars. I had a cheap dishwasher for 10 years that never rusted - dont buy it.

It didnt make it 3 years before having issues. Wouldnt complete a full cycle so had to be home to constantly start it when it started beeping thinking the door was open. We had all lg products and nothing but problems so far. Compressor went out in fridge. Ignitor in gas stove dryer has a bearing going out and dishwasher thought the door was always open

Made with poor quality materials - rack rusted

Very disappointed with this product and LG response to this problem. As per the multiple other reviews here the middle rack started to rust through by about 5.5 years and now has multiple spots that have rusted despite following all of the manufacturers recommendations for maintaining the appliance. Some of the spots have completed rusted through the wiring. Given that this appears to be a known problem with this product I would have hoped that LG was more responsive and supportive of their customers but this was not the case. they offered no support at all other than telling me I could order a new rack for $200 a quarter of the price of the actual dishwasher. Very frustrating and will look elsewhere in the future when shopping for other appliances.

Weve owned this dishwasher for over 5 years now. Its the best dishwasher weve owned as its super quiet and gets our dishes very clean. This last month it broke though and the main pump went out. LG warrantied the part and we had to pay a repair man to install it. After $200 labor its working well again. I would expect a dishwasher to last more than 5 years but I guess thats how all appliances are nowadays. Because I needed to repair it I took 1 star off. Overall I love this dishwasher

The repair is almost the cost of the dishwasher

I have just reached the 5 year mark having this product. It got REALLY noisy. I paid $90 to find out it needed a new sump pump.. Guess What? The part is $300 and labor is $250. Of course not under warranty and warranty categories dont tell you which category this is under as two of the warranties do go to 5 and 10 years. I had to reach out to an agent to find out and they didnt say what category either just out of warranty.

We have had to replace all of the dish trays due to melting the protective coatings from heat and the rails have rusted through. The latest is the control panel cover has cracked as LG says its not part of the control panel which is still under warranty. They want over $300.00 to replace it.

The dish racks have all rusted through as the heat of the dishwasher has melted the protective coating. Now the plastic control panel covet has cracked and its still under warranty but LG says thats not covered by the 5 year control panel warranty and the want over $300 to repair it.

LG Dishwashers are terrible and the customer service is about the same. The actual companyhonest and fair appliance repair that came to repair the dishwasher was excellent.

Dont waste your money

Had 4 years and pump already bad. Cost over $300 just for the part and then repair cost is almost what I paid for the darn thing Racks made cheaply and broke easily.

Save your money and do not buy an LG product

The motor for the LG dishwasher we bought broke and now we are jumping through hoops to try to get it fixed. If you dont go through a preferred service provider which are few and very far away from us you can use a local plumber but they must go through some process before LG considers fulfilling their warranty. Its been a huge frustration point and really turned us away from the LG brand.

Lg blows my dishwasher broke still under warranty but to have it fixed it cost 600$ they will only provide replacement parts to licensed technician even though its a super simple fix If my product is under warranty I want it to be fixed these 10 year direct drive warranty are crap Owned this dishwasher for 2 years ridiculous

We purchased a duplicate package of kitchen appliances for our new home in 2018. Every appliance has needed repair. This is the second replacement of the control panel on the dishwasher since August 31st at a cost of $620.77 cents. The emblem for a 10 year warranty on the outside of the machine is misleading. Were very disappointed in this package because we had another kitchen package in our previous home and had not issues.

This is the worst warranty departmemt I have delt with. All I get is the runaround and lies. The part is in the mail. NOT Your case is turned over to the president I cant talk to you. We will call you back. NOT Svven weeks without a dishwasher I did what thay wanted I gave up.

I had a code on my dishwasher and called in for some help. Everything we tried failed so the technician told me to unplug and then plug in. I did that and the code cleared I will do this next time but it is good to know when you call there is someone there to help.

Pros: Good quality stainless steel tub easy clean Full range of setting options incl. half load and extended night time drying Long run time is not an issue as e.g. for parties an express cycle is available Remote operation I never used. Cons comparable to competitors: Tea cups not always get fully cleaned normal dry leaves water on cups and glasses extra dry doesnt always get the job done either Special con in my case: Mice love to chew up the drain pipes and in a 2nd infestation two years later the wire harness unfortunately not available anymore and replaced by a horrendously expensive kit incl. control board

Motor Broke at 3 years.

It washes very well. Over time the inside of the door became discolored. The door does not drop down easily when opened. You have to shove it down. You cannot turn the bottom rack facing a different way so depending on where the sink is to the dishwasher you have to load plates backwards. The top rack kept rolling closed as I was loading it. It latches too easily and is hard to leave ajar during the day so it doesnt smell. The beeping sound when starting it is unnecessarily loud without a volume control. I like the versatility of the prongs on the bottom to load large items.

Purchased twice and still have issues

I have bought two of these in the past 4 years. First one leaked and was replaced. Second one just had fight to get the motor replaced with LG and water damage was found behind the machine by the technician. Unit is currently operating however not sure for how long.
