I bought the unit 2 years ago I was not expecting it to break down so I got a repair ticket with LG they were very helpful and the technician found that the unit needed a cleanup and he explained why the unit sensor would make the unit not heat up properly and dry the clothes.

I BROUGHT THIS DRYER ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO. IT HAD WORKED WELL. A LITTLE BIT OF AN ISSUE SETTING UP THE WI-FI CONNECTION-BUT WAS RESOLVED. DRYS CLOTHES WELL. NOT MUCH ISSUES WITH WRINKLING. EASY TO OPERATE. THE AREA OF THE CYCLE INFORMATION COULD STAND TO HAVE MORE BACK LIGHTING TO READ EASIER. THE DRUM DOESNT HAVE A LIGHT WHICH I ALSO FIND HARD TO SEE DEEP INSIDE THE DRYER TO EMPTY IT OUT.

Leaks Lint. :-

It is a great dryer except it leaks air and lint from the bottom 1/2 of the door. thank goodness its an electric dryer not gas. LG was prompt in making a service call. By the way this is a known problem and is clearly a design issue... I am a design engineer and can see the problem Its hard to see the lint stuck to the seal. Blow up the image and yo will see it stuck all around. It then leaks onto the bottom of the dryer and the top of the washer they are stacked. this is after one load of clothes. Never had to wipe lint off the front on any of my other dryers. And certainly this means it is getting into the air. LG replaced the entire door but now it leaks worse. Im on w/ service again right now but this is not how I enjoy spending my time. the agent was very helpful and scheduled another appointment.. The dryer is only 35 days old. The 1st service-visit was at 20 days. Sigh.

Some Design Flaws

Bought this for a new home. The lint trap dies not fully catch all the lint. I was sent a new filterwhich was slightly better. Customer service was not very helpful nor do they fully care. The service technician did not want to come out. So be careful what you buy. The dryer works fine the lint trap is another story.

I must admit that I had problems connecting my dryer to my washing machine. Come to find out there was something wrong with the board. As soon as it was repaired I have had no problems at all. I love the fact that when my washing machine is finished and I put the clothes in the dryer the dryer automatically knows what settings I used on the washing machine and transfers that to the dryer. Bam the dryer is set and then the clothes are dry. Wonderful

Well the newness is still wearing off but so far our new dryer and washer are exceptionally good. For starters they are extremely quiet and do a very good job of what they are meant to do. It makes a weird sound when it starts up and continues to make weird sounds throughout the cycle. It has a D80 error all the tie even though weve thoroughly cleaned the entire vent. And the support team is ridiculous about helping. I assume they are trying to delay sending a service repair because they are hoping Ill let the warranty lapse. Never could get the washer or dryer to connect for the supposed smart feature either. So pointless.

Horrible experience with no response from LG

Decent dryer but the delivery and install tech was not trained in appliance wiring. He wired one of the line wires and the ground on the cord backwards and when he plugged it into the dryer outlet he shorted my house wiring melted down the circuit and caught my house on fire. I let LG know and didnt get any response so I would not recommend letting them send an installer because it will cost a lot more than they charge in home repairs and they do not care.

I had it for about two years and it was working well. The issue is that the clothes were always caught on the dryer lint filter and one of my best clothes was destroyed. The lint filter can be redesign and make it better or higher that will be great
