Visual stories with extraordinary freedom Cinema Line FX6 4K/120p XAVC-14:2:2 10bit

Approved Camera for Netflix projects Capture the impossible with expanded ISO sensitivity Capture usable images in near total darkness with an impressive ISO expanded range up to 409600 2 . The full-frame sensor coupled with innovative light gathering ensures limitless shooting possibilities.

Cinema Line Stunning bokeh and full-frame creativity Realize beautiful 4K imagery with the creative freedom made possible by a full-frame sensor. Capture every detail from the scene with shallow depth of field and stunning bokeh for a truly cinematic look.

Top 3 Features Cinematic color science with S-Cinetone ™ S-Cinetone color, developed for Sony's acclaimed FX9, is the default look on the FX6. Precisely tuned to meet the requirements of today's content creators with rich color and natural skin tones, it produces fresh and vivid images straight out of camera without grading, while retaining plenty of latitude for post production.

Impressive cinematic expression The full-frame, back-illuminated, 10.2-megapixel 3 Exmor R ™ CMOS image sensor offers impressive light-gathering capability. Fast readout speeds and a dynamic range of 15+ stops 2 deliver superb image quality with wide sensitivity and reduced noise.

Transform your shooting creativity The BIONZ XR image processing engine matches the sensor's high-speed readout with enormous processing power. Built with a future-oriented architecture, it delivers high-quality images faster and dramatically improves camera interface responsiveness.

Operability and expandability for professionals Impressive dynamic range for limitless expression At its base sensitivity of ISO 800 4 the FX6 offers optimal dynamic range for well-lit interiors and outdoor documentary shooting. An enhanced ISO 12800 4 sensitivity is designed for challenging low-light, morning and evening shots. The FX6 offers an exceptional 15+ stops 2 of dynamic range-beyond the perception of even the human eye in many conditions-allowing for unprecedented creative freedom in color grading and post.

Impressive cinematic expression The wide-area AF uses intelligent tracking and on-sensor phase-detection for tenacious subject tracking across almost the entire frame (627 5 -point focal plane phase-detection AF covers approx. 89% of the image area). The hybrid AF system delivers precise focusing even when shooting at shallow depths of field and at 120p high frame rates in 4K (QFHD) 6 .

Capture the impossible with expanded ISO sensitivity Real-time Eye AF and Face Detection supported Real-time Eye AF and Face Detection ensure accurate, stable focus acquisition for interviews, events, and anywhere where precise focus on people is essential. Sophisticated real-time processing realizes pinpoint eye focus even when subjects are looking down or up at steep angles, allowing the operator to concentrate fully on composing the best shot.

Stunning bokeh and full-frame creativity With AF Transition Speed selectable over 7 levels, and AF Subject Shift Sensitivity over 5 levels, you can better convey your creative intentions when switching subjects or, for example, rack focusing.

Cinematic color science with S-Cinetone ™ When the AF Assist function is ON, rotating the focus ring instantly switches from autofocus to manual focus so that a different subject can be quickly selected. Autofocus operation resumes as soon as the user stops rotating the lens focus ring.

Large pixels deliver high sensitivity and low noise For autofocus, you can set the target area among Flexible Spot, Zone, Wide and change the position of the target area quickly during shooting by simply touching the LCD monitor.

Powerful BIONZ XRTM image processor High Frame Rate shots can turn everyday action into a visual feast of elegant movement. The FX6 captures up to 120 frames per second (fps) at the 4K (QFHD) resolution. Slow and Quick (S&Q) modes give you full control over the captured frame rate from 1 to 120fps, allowing precise motion narratives, and up to a beautiful 5x Super Slow Motion (24fps output).

Impressive dynamic range for limitless expression Autofocus with Sony E-mount lenses Experience smooth, responsive autofocus with Sony E-mount lenses, with premium optical performance and operability for demanding cinematography applications. Unique actuator technology in Sony E-mount lenses provides faster and more precise AF performance, supporting your creative endeavors.

Transform your shooting creativity The FX6 features Sony's unique built-in electronic Variable Neutral Density (ND) filter. Unlike conventional optical ND Filters, the electronic ND Filter on the FX6 can be controlled from 1/4 ND to 1/128 ND linearly, or set to auto. Ideal in changeable environments, there's no need to change filters as lighting conditions change or to maintain your depth of field.

Fast Hybrid AF for accuracy and tenacity Despite its amazingly light 1.96-lb (0.89-kg) body, the magnesium-alloy FX6 is more than tough enough for the rigors of real-world shooting. A detachable Smart Grip puts key functions at your fingertips and is easily adjustable with a single button.

Real-time Eye AF and Face Detection supported Ideal for low-angle shooting, the smart handle is part of the FX6's modular design. It's easy to reconfigure for any application, including mounting in a gimbal, drone or underwater housing.

Powerful focus control for solo shooters Magnesium body and frame for high durability with light weight To perform reliably in challenging environments, the main body, covers and top handle are made from a production-tested, lightweight magnesium alloy. The main frame achieves high strength and durability with minimum weight in order to maximize mobility.

Lens-ring AF subject selection Architecture to prevent thermal shut down The custom ventilation system and chassis design help to prevent the thermal shut down of shooting8 at high frame rates and 4K (QFHD) resolutions. The number of heat sinks, the shape of air intakes and exhaust vents as well as the location of the low-noise fan 9 , and airflow paths have all been calculated with precision to ensure that optimum ventilation is achieved.

Autofocus area/position Record right on the camera with the amazing richness of 10-bit depth and 4:2:2 color sampling, for far greater flexibility in image grading, post-processing and compositing.

4K 7 120fps with every frame in focus As well as Long GOP, internal All-Intra encoding is now provided. This encodes every frame independently at bitrates up to 600 Mbps, to capture complex motion more accurately, and allow more efficient editing workflows. [1] All-Intra (All-I) [2] Long GOP [3] Group of Pictures

Autofocus with Sony E-mount lenses For demanding post-production workflows, 16-bit RAW output is available via SDI connection to compatible external recorders while XAVC-I files are simultaneously captured in-camera. RAW video output is 4096 x 2160 or 3840 x 2160 data from the image sensor with a choice of 59.94/50/29.97/25/24/23.98 frame rates 10 .

Built-in electronic Variable ND Filter The FX6 offers shooting modes with preset looks like S-Cinetone that produce great-looking shots in-camera, or S-Log 3 / S-Gamut 3 with Cine-EI mode that capture perfectly exposed images for post production.

Operability and expandability for professionals Four preset scene file types are available for SDR shooting (S-Cinetone, Standard, Still, ITU709) and two for HDR (HLG Live, HLG Natural) plus 16 slots for imported user 3D LUTs for your preferred look without post production.

Lightweight, modular and robust Sony's ergonomic Smart Grip and Smart Handle feature easy one-button adjustment. With zoom, record and assignable control buttons, as well as a dial suitable for iris control, you can comfortably operate for hours.

Grab and shoot mobility A wide range of professional interfaces is available including 12G-SDI and HDMI outputs 11 , a remote interface, TC connectors for multi-camera sync and SuperSpeed USB 5 Gbps (USB 3.2) to support fluid data workflows.

Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Electronics can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new electronics should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.
