Horrible!

Bought this product a little over 3 years ago. Have had nothing but issues with it. Freezer leaks water behind and over the back panel, causing the fan to freeze up. Then the system screws up. Had an extended warranty through Lowes which ended this year. Have had the control panel replaced twice, had a service person come numerous times. Now the warranty has expired and we are still having problems. We are sick of having to remove the panel and defrost the ice!!! Also, the refrigerator makes all kinds of strange noises and isn't quiet. I will never buy another Frigidaire refrigerator again.

I have had to replace the top plastic Crisper Drawer frame twice. It is $94!!! Just for the plastic square frame that holds the glass. There is zero room in this fridge. Wish I had been able to keep my old one.

Messed up ice maker

I bought this less refrigerator less than 6 months ago. Ice maker is stuck in crushed ice. Tried calling warranty, they give names of other companies to call..looked up part to fix and it is 51.00 on backorder. Fridge looks nice, however ice through the door feature is a pain when crushed ice spews out on kitchen floor.

NOT A GOOD EXAMPLE FOR A GREAT REFRIGERATOR

When we initially purchased this refrigerator we thought we were going to be satisfied with the purchase. First we noticed how much noise it created when cooling and defrosting and filling ice tray. We have had small problems ever since we bought it 4 years ago. We thought that a "Gallery" series would be great and match our other "Gallery" range and microwave. Well its looks great but that's all. The ice maker is the worse I have ever owned, it stops, jams, throws ice on the floor, cubes too large so they jam easily. Sometimes the control panel will not dispense ice or water. It sort of hangs up and doesn't let you get crushed or cubed. I've owned at least 15 different refrigerators and the quality of this one is one of poor workmanship and design. We never have been able to get "cold" water from the door. It appears to not be cooling somehow. The water purifier and air purifier are a costly add on that is not needed or required. If I were to do this purchase over it would not be this brand or model. Stay away.

i am unhappy with this fridge because it is made cheaply. the upper bin inside the fridge door has a clear cover that is held in place by a plastic notch on each side. the notch on one side broke off and can't be replaced because it is attached to the door. now the clear cover falls off and i can't use that shelf.

Poor quality unit

I bought this refrigerator a couple of years ago. It is not even 3 years old. I have had to replace 3 door shelves in the refrigerator, both vegetable drawers have broken and as well as 2 pull our drawers in the freezer have broken from the wall of the unit. Any item which touches the inner or back walls of the unit in the refrigerator freeze. I™€™ve lost a lot of food this way in the last 2 years. The I will never buy another Frigidaire. Very cheap, poor quality parts. We have had the motor replaced once, mechanically it keeps the food cold but I regret this purchase.

Broken shelves after 2 years

We bought this in Aug 2015 and after 2 years the shelves started breaking. After 3 years the drawers started cracking and breaking and now on year four it is leaking. Seems to be a cheap buy.... very disappointed.

This is a bad refrigerator. The ice maker constantly jams, items in the fridge portion freeze even when set to the recommended temperature. Do not buy. Wish we could return and replace.

Lots of little failures

I was going to leave one star, but reading the one star reviews makes me think my unit isn't quite as bad as it could be. Having said that, I really wish I could take back this purchase. In less than 3 years, here is what I've dealt with:- Ice maker jams, not all the time, but enough to be problematic- Ice maker sensor stick in the "full" position, but we don't know when it happens, until there's no ice because it hasn't been making any. This happens very, very frequently- Door seals frequently have gaps. I had the installer fix this at first, and they told me to just use a hair dryer to warm the seals and they'll reset. I shouldn't have to do this, but I do. Now I have a gap in my freezer that I cannot fix and the freezer is pooling ice and leaking water- Digital display elements are starting to display oddly or not display. It's still usable for now, thank goodness- Water line randomly froze. Freezer temp was not that cold- Most importantly, there is water leaking right now from the bottom of the unit which I cannot locate the source of. I contacted Frigidaire 13 days ago asking for any guidance, even though the unit is out of warranty, hoping they could help. No answer.For the space in my kitchen opening, this was one of the only units that would fit. In hindsight I wish I'd just resized my cabinets and purchased a different unit, it would have been cheaper and less headache. Also would not have warped hardwood floors in my kitchen.

Please read all the one star reviews everything they say about this junk is true. From water on the floor, the numbers of the refrigerator going out, the refrigerator not cooling and the freezer not freezing and the ice maker not making ice. I am so frustrated, I have the stove the burners dont work, I have the microwave and it trips the breaker, and the dishwasher collects water at the bottom and leaks. I hate this brand. Who ever changed the quality is evil and greedy. We need quality products

We've had this refrigerator 2.5 years and everything has gone wrong with it. The first few months, almost every shelf broke. At 12 months parts of the digital numbers went out, we fixed the control panel and then again 12 months later parts of the numbers are not visible. The ice dispenser has stopped working several times. The light above the water no longer turns on. And today it completely broke. I will include a photo. $1200 refrigerator lasted 2 years.

In less than a year, display lights failed. Will not dispense ice. New ice maker installed™€"at MY EXPENSE™€"after 3 service calls. Drawers on freezer side keep falling out. Ice tries to come out in blocks of three and get blocked in chute. Back up in freezer area and fall out on floor. Absolute worst appliance I ever owned!!

I had a previous Frigidaire side by side that lasted 15 years without any previous problems. When the compressor started going bad we decided to get another Frigidaire product. We bought this refrigerator and have had it for almost 2 years. Now it is making an awful racket and the freezer will not stay cold. Was told that some kind of compressor fan is going out. Of course it is out of warranty and we did not purchase any kind of extended warranty. I would not purchase this product again.

This refrigerator is a lemon - do not buy it

When I was young, my family sold Frigidaire products. I was so proud of this brand and always recommended it until now. When buying our refrigerator to replace a worn out Maytag, I looked at many brands and types. This particular refrigerator appeared to be the perfect size and included everything we needed. I looked at the reviews and they were all excellent at the time and I trusted the brand. After only a few months, the shelves started breaking. By the time the warranty was up, the motherboard had to be replace. There are also many other problems: the refrigerator leaks on the floor every day; frequently freezes food in the refrigerator and thaws food in the freezer. We also currently have at least 3 broken shelves and one broken drawer. We have had to pay for most of the repairs out of our pocket and can no longer afford the costly items. As many other reviews mention, the ice maker also clogs frequently. I have not been treated well by customer service and I will not be recommending this product or this brand. After only about 4 years, we are in need of a new refrigerator. We feel like we have waisted our money and our time.

VERY BAD REFIGERATOR FREEZOR

I got this side by side refrigerator freezer in 2017 from home depot, only had for a year and two components that were plugged into the compressor burned out. I replaced and six months later, if that the refrigerator and freezer stop getting cold. I am a licensed electronics tech, im am not a appliance repair tech but hardware tech of computer and electronics parts tech. im very sorry to say this is a poor design, very cheaply built and I tried to get someone on phone and online to tell me about else to look for, the fan motors are running smoothly and it runs quietly the compressor is only a few years old and the two compents I replaced seem fine. this thing is a piece of JUNK !!!!!

Side-by-Side

We just gave up on a 7-year old Professional Series Frigidaire because of a design error. We could not afford another Pro Series but Frigidaire helped and we a bought this side-by-side. Being old folks, we are glad we selected a side-by-side. It's easier to get things in and out with the minimum amount of bending and digging in the bottom freezer. Plus we are finding creative ways to maximize the storage on both sides! Finally, having the water/ice system housed in the freezer side, we are almost guaranteed minimal problems in the future. Good job Frigidaire!

Since we purchased this fridge we have had many issues. Anything stored in the back freezes, ice maker jams up while trying to get ice and then it free falls on the floor awhile later, or while trying to free it up. totally dissatisfied and will never purchase another.

We've had this fridge for 2-3 years and we have had so many problems. Within 6 months the bottom panel to the fridge door broke, then the 3rd panel on the fridge door broke. We replaced both of them . The doors are uneven. The second year the same 2 panels broke again, the front part of shelf above the cool drawer cracked. We had to tape it together for it to hold for now. The temperature display on the interface is going out. One of the shelves in the freezer is bent. I called Frigidaire customer service to inquire about an extended warranty. They informed me the warranty doesn't cover cosmetic damage. I guess having a crack and 2 door panels missing is considered cosmetic. Purchasing a replacement interface on my own is cheaper then getting the extended warranty. I already found a video on YouTube how to change it. It's very frustrating and disappointing. I thought the Frigidaire name would mean great quality, boy was I wrong.

Great disappointment

Owned this for 3 years. Replaced a 28 y/o GE. Ice dispenser died after 2 months. Had it fixed 8 times, finally gave up calling repair. Freezer door will pop open just an 1/8™€ when closing the fridge door. Unless we remember to push it closed again, there will be a layer frost between the doors after a few hours. The cu. ft. rating is based on the compartments being totally hollowed out. With the shelves, ice maker, dispenser, etc. as anyone would use the refrigerator, it™€™s more like 18 or 19 cu. ft. Would we get it again? Well, it still works, but we™€™re looking for a replacement. Anyone want this one? Pick it up for free. 2 stars because it does work, but no stars for usability.

Electronics Break Shortly After Purchase

Selected this fridge as an "upgrade" when I built my home in 2016. Almost immediately (3 weeks) the LEDs on the display started malfunctioning/not lighting up. At first, it was just one that I could live with but after a few more months (and shortly after the warranty was up) so many LEDs were out that the display was useless. Couldn't not ready the freezer or refrigerator temp, indicators wouldn't light up when pressed, etc... Other than that, it keeps food cool or frozen as it should but upgrading to this model was a bad choice and I'll have to steer clear of Frigidaire products in the future.

Worst refrigerator we have ever owned. Only 2 1/2 years old and had to be repaired 4 times already. Same problem 3 times. Spent over $600 in repairs only to have it break a month later. Lost hundreds of dollars in food twice now. DO NOT waste your money on any Frigidaire products...they are terrible. I moved into a brand new house and Frigidaire Gallery appliances were included. So far, 3 out of 4 of our appliances have needed service or or have been replaced already. Dishwasher needed major repairs after one year, microwave completely died after 2 years and Refrigerator needed 4 major repairs so far.

Keeps food cold, and frozen food frozen. Ice maker and door dispenser explode ice chunks all over the floor with each use. Ice is not easily accessible from the bin in the freezer, so the only way to get ice is through dispenser. Loose ice has ruined the hardwood floor finish. Please design a better system.

I bought this unit 2 years ago and I have had nothing but issues. The ice maker constantly crushes the ice when it's not on ice crush. The coils keep frosting up. We had to purchase a new ice maker and also a new hose in the back that leads to it. After all the fixes running better but very disappointed in the buy.

I purchased this Refrigerator Freezer 2 years ago for a high end rental unit, The display is going bad with lost diods on the display for temperature, the Ice Maker stopped working and there is water on the floor and I checked the drain and it is not blocked. I have no idea why Ice builds up under the crisp drawer with everything clean. Frigidaire says sorry it is no longer in warranty even though it is a high end expensive unit and is only 2 years old.

I have had this refrigerator for 3 years. Looks great but it has given me problems the last two years. First was the ice maker overflowing and making ice over the fan. The fan would hit the ice make a noise and eventually stop working. I had to replace the water valve that dispenses water to the ice maker. Now the coils are getting frozen and the fan stops working. So again I had to open the back panel, defrost it and plug it back in. I am very frustrated and disappointed. Considering if it worth fixing. The matching stove I bought at the same time works great

We bought a 26 cu. ft. side by side, white refrigerator in 2006, and it has performed beyond expectations. The most we have done thus far is to replace a worn out relay! Some signs of rust are showing, but, it still works great. My next unit will be a Frigidaire.

Bad Purchase.

We purchased this Frigidaire, Galllery on 09/11/2016, cash at $1.759.99. First upon delivery, they had a scratch in the out side door. Had to be replaced later. Doors were not even to top and bottom. Ice bin froze up with frost. Later the ice maker started to clog up ice and when cleaned out, fell on the floor. Happens all the time. Ice maker eventually had to be replaced at a cost and then worked fair for a while. Have to shake the ice bin several times to loosen the pieces. Makes two or three pieces of ice al together. This Frigidaire Refrigerator started to make several strange sounds. Sqweels, increase and decrease motor sounds all to be acceptable until last Saturday Night around 10:30PM. Started to smell smoke, like burning wires, in the kitchen area. Ran around in a semi panic sniffing everything until I came to the Refrigerator. The smoke was coming from it. As I pulled it out to unplug it , it made a hissing sound. I got it out enough to unplug it and the smell was thick, so, I called the fire department who came out and checked out the house, wiring, and all other fixtures. They seemed to be O.K. but the fireman said the smoke was caused but the Frigidaire Refrigerator Unit. They left. Now, we are with out a refrigerator. Had to buy another one yesterday, another brand, of course, at the cost of over $1,200.00. Will not be delivered until next Wednesday, So, bought some ice chests to hopefully get buy. Have lost over $250.00 worth of food to spoil, have a dead refrigerator in my kitchen, water on the floor, and I am very disappointed.

Fridge cools but functionally challenged

No problems with the fridge or freezer working but 3 main problems with functionality/durability. The lower fridge door shelves have broken and been replaced 3 times. The motion/slide on the chill drawer so jerky jerky that only a adult can use and 2 of the freezer shelves and drawers are inoperable because the freezer walls have pulled away from the mounts causing the shelves and drawer supports to drop in. So yes it keeps food at the right temp and makes ice but drawers and access to food is very frustrating. I should have been more proactive with customer support/ warranty as easy issue came up but life happened and by the time I called we had owned for over 1 year and were out of luck.

Worst Ice & Water from door Ever!

We purchased a house with this refrigerator a top of the line model and it does a great job except for the ice and water from the door. We have never gotten ice from this piece of junk that either jammed up in the discharge shoot. Then when it does finally come out it goes everywhere on the floor. The indoor water seems about as bad. You can not fill a glass of ice with water without the water spraying all over you and half the kitchen. I can't believe a company would put such a substandard quality product on the market. I hope there is a fix and replacement parts to correct this issue or I will be forced to purchase a new refrigerator and I will never purchase another Frigidaire product.

I would never have thought to ask the salesperson if the water coming out of a refrigerator would be cold. It just seems logical to me but not this refrigerator. The owners manual recommends "adding ice for cold water". Speaking of ice, the ice maker either dumps way too much ice all at once inevitably ice ending up on the floor it piles up in the chute clogging itself and thus nothing comes out. The metal teeth that crush the ice bend but they are made out of soft metal and I had no problems bending them back into position. Really, soft ice crushing blades? This refrigerator moans and groans almost on a daily basis. We tell guests that we have a singing refrigerator. In all fairness, these problems started after the warranty expired. As a basic refrigerator/freezer this unit does a great job. I did email Frigidaire about the ice maker problems to see if they had any recalls, fixes, or possible replacement options. Their response was that I needed to call a repair technician.

We purchased this refridgerator 2 years ago and we have not been happy with it at all. We replaced the ice maker twice and it still does not work. It produces too much ice and the mechanism that breaks down the ice to fit through the dispenser is useless. Since it does not break up the ice properly it causes a jam when dispensing. When you try to unjam it the ice ends up all over the floor. it sucks. I am so disappointed. It is also one of the noisiest refrigerators. Makes all sorts of different noises and its loud. The freezer temperature light on the display panel has also failed. I have a Fridgidaire refridgerator in my garage that still runs that was purchased in 1988. That is one of the reasons I selected this brand. I will not be purchasing another.
