Know major design flaw before buying

We purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator, perfect size and with everything we needed. It is a great refrigerator for keeping foods fresh...when it's on. If there are electric fluctuations or outages, this model does NOT come back on without being manually reset. After contacting Frigidaire, I was told this was a design feature. Poor design. If you are away for a few days, a week or more, you may come home to spoiled food. And this is a design feature! I would advise buying a different brand...it really could be a 5 star refrigerator if not for this feature. My Jenn-Aire refrigerator and another inexpensive refrigerator I have for over-flow do not have these problems. They automatically come back on when power is restored

Continual noise from refrigerator. I have been told this is normal and is mentioned in the users manual per Electrolux. This continual gurgling sound should be explained at point of sale. It is not a good thing. I thought I did my do diligence before making this purchase, I failed.

Fridge is great, very small issue with ice tray design

Overall love the fridge. Ice tray in freezer has one annoying flaw in the design. When ice tray is full, the metal height indicator arm knocks out a couple cubes of ice out of the tray when pulling out the drawer the ice tray sits in. All in all we have a positive view of the fridge though.

The only thing keeping me from giving this fridge a 5 star rating is that it requires you to open the fridge after a power outage in order to turn it back on. What if we were away? Fortunately we have been home during recent storms, and it has not been a problem. This is a design flaw, in my opinion.

After owning a Kenmore that was made by LG that only lasted 6 years I did alot of research and decided that Frigidaire was the way to go. I already own a Frigidaire freezer that has been a real work horse out in my garage for over 20 years and have NEVER had any trouble with it. Some of the reviews that I read on this refrigerator said that it was noisy. But it is not! It is so roomy inside. Actually more room than what we need but that's a good thing.

This refrigerator makes a lot of ice. The ice cubes are a nice size too. Sometimes when you open the freezer door the ice will fall out of the bin and onto the floor. The shelves are easy to adjust.

One of the drawers is crooked, the wide middle refrigerator door used for yogurt, cheese, etc., doesn™€™t close fully unless you manually push it, and one of the shelves plastic backing snapped off while I was trying to adjust the position of it. Tons of space which I love . We have had a couple issues with the front door panels . The left and right door don™€™t measure up it™€™s defective it does not affect the usage but for $2000 you certainly want the esthetics right.

I purchased this refrigerator after a year wait and I am so glad my patience paid off! Due to the global pandemic this particular model has been hard to come by. I did not want nor need the water and ice dispenser on the outside and it provides a more clean and simple look. The space in both the refrigerator and freezer is deceptively amazing, very spacious! I love how the lighting gradually illuminates, especially for those late night snacks. I worried that the unit would be noisy. No worries anymore, it is very quiet. Thus far, I am very pleased with my long awaited Frigidaire refrigerator purchase!

We bought our new fridge a few weeks ago and all is fine as it should be on a new unit. This replaced a 10 year old identical Frigidaire model. We took it due to the chip shortage and the fact that it was in stock. Our identical previous model was trouble prone. Mis-aligned doors from the factory, crisper drawer cracked. Electric panel died twice. Ice was collecting on the bottom of the freezer on several occasions. They don't build them like they used to.

When I was searching for new appliances it was hard to find reviews from people who had owned the appliance for a considerable amount of time, so here is one in case anyone is looking for the same. I researched this purchase obsessively. Waited 20 years for a new kitchen and I was going to get it right! I actually had very few to choose from once I decided I did not want to lose all that room inside by getting water and ice in the door. I also think fridge looks so much more sleek w/o it. Felt like 80% of new fridges sold now had that in the door. I also found that the Korean brands had some of the CONSISTENTLY WORST reviews so that further reduced my choices as those brands dominated the aisles everywhere I looked. Smudge proof was a must, and finally, I wanted the biggest one I could find since we ripped down to the studs and could build around the fridge! This one was the winner and we love it. So sleek and clean looking. I've read complaints about noise but whatever noises it makes here and there to make ice or whatever else it does sound like normal fridge sounds to me and are hardly noticeable. Two minor complaints keep me from giving it a 5...the crisper drawers are super hard to put back when you remove them for cleaning. Always feel like you are gonna snap something in the process, and it does turn into a process. We never had an icemaker before so I have nothing to compare it to, but whenever you open the freezer if it hasn't recently been opened, ice that has piled up in the back, spills over the back and and 2 or 3 cubes end up under the basket and/or on the floor at your feet. Over time we've learned to open drawer slowly and scoop ice forward before we open it all the way. I'm just so thrilled to even HAVE an icemaker, and happy with the rest of the fridge that we just deal with it. .

Startling sound

Purchased this for our new home. The cooling and freezing capabilities are great along with the easy exterior cleaning. Both the upper and lower units provide ample storage. Unfortunately, the refrigerator comes with loud sounds. I was expecting a noise for the for the compressor and ice maker. What I wasn't expecting was a random loud bang. If you are simply relaxing when the house is quite or about to fall asleep, when this noise happens, you would think it was a gun shot. I have been startled way too many times. In addition to this noise, when the freezer door is opened another loud "clunk". The freezer door was replaced due to another issue, yet it didn't eliminate the noise. When the replacement freezer door was installed, those installing heard the noise when opening the door. They indicated it could be a spring. Although the loud "bang" didn't happen when installing the replacement freezer door, they weren't certain what could cause the loud "bang". If you can handle loud sounds, this is a great appliance, if you are startled easily, a different model could be a better option.

Functional and loud

We bought this model as our 13-yr old Kenmore died. Wanted to buy local and FAST during pandemic so availability was an issue, we ended up taking the model that fit our needs and was available from local longtime appliance store. Frig was installed a week later and we have had no problems. Works perfectly well. Only issue is that there is an open floor plan with kitchen and the motor runs quite loud, most of the time. Not so loud to drown out conversation or the TV, but if its a quiet time, its a steady background rumble. Our last frig was not so.BUT we did get it during Pandemic from a local appliance store so all is well.

More space!

Bought this to replace a previously bad fridge purchase. This new one doesn™€™t have ice/water in the door feature which we didn™€™t want as our old one caused so much trouble for us. Without it, there™€™s so much more room in the refrigerator section and it™€™s easier getting the ice out of the bucket in the freezer anyway. Hopefully it™€™ll hold up in the long run, but as for now we are very pleased!

We purchased this Frigidaire due to having problems with multiple other brands (Electrolux and Samsung) and this unit is solid. We opted for this model due to not needing or wanting high tech, just need it to keep our food cold and make great ice. This does both extremely well, and the freezer has far more room than our previous models. 100% satisfied!

We like Big Fridge

It's still novel and seems very roomy and shiny. Double doors: a new adventure. Mike said "I want the left side." That solution may reduce his male refrigerator blindness. I, the cook, have to know where everything is. I took this opportunity to heavily edit the photo spread on the doors. I'm glad the magnets still work.

This refrigerator was delivered in March 2021. The freezer door is frozen shut due to the icemaker. The gasket is not secure. All of my frozen food has ice crystals. There are large chunks of ice and icicles stuck to the back and floor of my freezer. I am extremely displeased with the quality of this appliance!!

We've had our refrigerator for about a month now and we love it. There is so much room in it and it's easy to keep the contents organized inside. I wasn't sold on stainless steel when we began our search for a new refrigerator but I'm so glad I went with this model.

Great refrigerator

Very nice refrigerator. After taking delivery, freezer was not holding temperature. Repair man came and fixed the seal. A & E factory repair gives a time window of 8-5 which is ridiculous. I had to take a whole day off from work. They didn't show up until 3:45. After repair the refrigerator has been great!

We have had this for two weeks. The French doors have to be closed tightly as there is no beep alerting us that door is left open. Half of the top drawer in freezer is ice bin which is way too big in our opinion. Both freezer drawers pull out hard. Not easy slide. Also there is no on/off button for ice maker. Have to reach way in back and lift lever to turn off. We were always told to never mess with the lever as that is how they break. Wish I noticed that when purchasing. If Frigidaire cares about reviews you may want to change these items.
