WORST APPLIANCE EVER!

This is the worst washer and dryer I've ever used. There is never enough water (energy efficient) to cover the load, and there is no way to add extra water except by using a bucket of water. Mid cycle, it empties the water, but doesn't go into spin cycle. It stops, and the lid remains locked. So, you have to reset and start the cycle over. Waste of time and waste of water.

I got this unit with my new apartment, it was a bit of an adjustment to go from a full size washer and dryer to this stackable unit but it has been working great. I don™€™t know if it will be able to handle bigger items like my duvet but it does a good job with my clothes and sheets.

I bought a new home and this is the washer that came with it. It's pretty decent. I don't have much to compare it to but I like it. A couple issues are that my family is small in size and we can't reach the bottom of the washer and when we grab things out of the dryer we got buttons. Plus I'm disappointed that it's discontinued, I feel like I got the short straw.

Things to know - before or after you buy!

We bought this Laundry Center after the one we inherited died (after 13 years). This unit fit the space, might have as good longevity and.... was available! It's still early days. Bottom line: we don't regret getting it but feel we were woefully ignorant doing so. The washer in particular is NOT "plug and play". The washer is so different from the conventional washer that you need to study the manual and maybe do some googling/YouTubing to be confident using it.1. We didn't pay attention to the fact that it was HE. I thought it just meant special detergent. In reality, the wash tub is very different. No agitator spindle. It requires a little more care (and education) to properly load it. (E.i., items must be scrunched up individually and evenly spread around the center - but not covering the center.) It uses so little water that I was constantly lifting the lid to reassure myself the clothes were being adequately washed. I'm over that now...2. We bought the large washer tub unit. Because of the HE design, we could have gotten away with the smaller tub. The capacity of this thing is amazing! It's nice that a this HE unit automatically senses the amount of water needed. So, no Small, Medium, Large load settings.3. The labels on the wash selector knob are ambiguous (e.g. Heavy Duty, Normal, Casual, etc.) I think the manual does an inadequate job of describing which setting is appropriate for what items. Less and issue with the dryer...4. THERE IS NO INDICATION OF WHERE YOU ARE IN A WASH CYCLE! Is it stopped because the cycle is done? Or, is it just between Wash and Rinse? How much longer til it's finished?! It's complicated enough that I'm in the process of writing up my own cheat sheet on how to operate it. If someone new to the equipment tried to use it, they'd need some guidance.I think it cleans fine. I like that it is water efficient. Love the capacity. But, I still don't fully understand it.

Appliance came with our new home. Love the size and how it is able to take on an extra large load. I™€™m able to fit my comforter in it comfortably! Which is a plus for me and my family!Cleans well! So far only down side is that it can be loud during certain phases of the wash cycle. I would have to run the dryer a little longer if I have an extra large load. I usually have it run on normal then on a quick dry. Not sure if any cycle is energy efficient.

I waited for a couple of months to receive this washer/dryer combo. Had I known that everything gets extremely wrinkled, I would never have purchased it. No matter how you load the washer; take clothes out immediately, you need to iron everything. There is no dial to let you know where in the wash process you are and you can't adjust the water level. Also, the washer is very loud.

The auto sensor kept shutting the dryer off no matter what steps I took. Also, the dryer alarm gives no warning. When the buzzer sounds, the unit shuts off. My old one gave several warnings so you knew you had time to get to it to get the cloths out. This one gives none. It just shuts off at the buzzer. Also, there is no time indicator to let you know how much time is left in the cycle. Its all a bad guessing game!! The washer was ok but needs a time indicator too. I got so frustrated I had to return it!

This machine first off has the loudest wash cycle imaginable and the shocks on the washer are so weak that if your load is slightly off balance the whole machine will bang and shake. Not only that, but the clothes are always sopping wet at the end of the cycle and there is not just a spin cycle! So now I have this ridiculous ineffective and loud machine that I™€™m stuck with and I have to much of a conscience to try to sell it to any other poor soul!!

I needed a new stackable washer and dryer, and loved my previous Frigidaire. This one how ever, I have very little good to say. It "works" per se, so that's why i'm giving it 2 stars vs 1; BUT the drying cycle is a joke, you can't use the auto-sensing component at all (which is all i've ever used as long as I can remember), the "air fluff" has heat, and the washer will often leave white film spots on my clothes. I regret this purchase.

Washer eats my clothes!

I bought this machine almost 2 years ago and this is the second time a blouse got caught in the agitator. There is NO way to get the stuck blouse out, I had to once again call repair man to come and remove the agitator and my shredded blouse. I feel I should be able to wash any and everything in the washer. This was not a thin silk blouse, but shouldn't matter. I tried several times to call Frigidare but the automated system kept hanging up on me. I wonder if there is a fix so this won't keep happening???? My repair said I am not the only one this has happened to.Is there a fix for this???

Due to purchasing a townhouse, the stacked washer/dryer fit the laundry space available, not my decision or choice. There are enough options on both washer/dryer, but unfortunately, the "sensors" do not allow for what I consider efficient drying. A serviceman for Electrolux explained the "sensors" & the "small" loads, etc for drying. As I am single & living alone, there is not much to put in the dryer - no overloading - which seems to require an [inefficient] 60 min cycle. Yes, I can monitor so to not use 60 full minutes, but owners are busy & not interested in constantly checking dryer, to see if a few towels are finally dry. Additionally, to put items into the washer, a person must be a contortionist. The washer & lid need to be set further out [in front of dryer] to have reasonable access.

We absolutely love our new machine. It has great features and a large capacity. I can easily put 8-10 towels or 4-5 rugs in at a time with no problem. We have it in a very small area off of our bathroom and it makes very little noise. With the door closed to the room we have to really listen to hear the end of cycle buzzer.I had a stackable many years ago at my cottage home and it certainly did the job well, but this one is exceptional. It took a little trial and error to get the drying cycle down, but that was because I always dried everything at a very low setting on my old machine. This one is higher tech and I can actually use the normal cycle for most everything. Would definitely recommend this machine.

Because of home remodeling this was a great space saver, replacing our old stand alone washer & dryer. I am a short 5'1" person and have to use a grab device to retrieve small items, such as socks, from bottom of washer. There's a learning curve to the dryer, which I haven't mastered yet. The lint filter rubber gasket comes loose in one spot.

I have only had this unit less than a week. However, I did a few loads of laundry. I found that the dyer does not fully dry the clothes. However, I put them in the 60 minute cycle and let them run just a few minutes longer until they are fully dry.The washing of the clothes seems to take a lot longer than my other washer did. However, I use the "quick wash" and that seems to save a lot of time and my clothes come out clean. The few adjustments I have made have solved the minor issues that I had.

I bought the product a month ago. On the 1st use it became apparent that there was a crack in the drain hose - when the wash water drained out all over the floor. I called Frigidaire and couldn't get an appointment for almost 3 weeks. The customer service rep said he'd try to get something sooner but couldn't call me for 24-48 hours. He just went ahead and scheduled the appointment. Since it was Friday, I shouldn't expect a call until Monday or Tuesday. I called the store where I purchased the machine and they made contact with their Frigidaire rep and got me an appointment in a few days.

I am pleasantly surprised at how well it does the job. The clothes come out clean and not too tangled. However, there are a few concerns: I wish it had a buzzer to let me know when the washing cycle ended. The gasket sealing the lint filter came unglued after one drying session and is actually too small to handle the lint that accumulates.

This is the second combination unit I have owned. I am actually having a repair person take a look at the unit. The washer appears to work great, however the dryer is a concern. The dryer shuts off before the items are dry. I have tried drying a bath towel with a hand towel and 2 wash clothes. I put the temperature on heavy and it still shuts down before the load is dry. We shall see if there is something blocking the hose or vent?

This was a replacement for an older unit with front load capacity. I can't believe how much more this unit holds in the washer compared to the old front load. The impeller provides even more space since it's not as bulky as a regular agitator

Nice laundry center

This laundry center is in my kitchen, so dimensions are perfect for the space. A little louder than I had hoped, given its not in a closet, but that™€™s not the fault of the washer. The HE water usage does take some faith, but clothes do seem just as clean as a standard top loading agitator washer. Dries clothes very quickly; next load is usually still washing when the dryer is finished. I only wish Frigidaire offered some more features to the dryer that are becoming common on stand-alone units, e.g. wrinkle reducer.
